I auditioned for the role of Mr. Darcy, but the sideburns were too heavy and I refused to continue with the audition unless the sideburns also served as floatation devices. They decided to go another way, but went with my suggestion, hence Colin Firth’s massive sideburns.
Without jumping to conclusions, I think that means I also inspired the idea for Colin Firth to have a wet shirt scene. You’re welcome.
