Which is what makes Monday mornings so difficult. Not because the weekend is over. Not because I have to get up early again. Not because I have another long week of work ahead of me.
Monday mornings are so hard because of that dreaded question: “What did you do this weekend?”
It also doesn’t help that my weekends usually consist of the most homosexual of activities. Seriously, someone needs to take me out. If only for the sake of giving me something interesting to talk about on Monday mornings.
That sounds AWESOME! Can I come over next weekend? (Or would Natalie Portman, your wife, get jealous?)
I can’t tell you the number of times my mother has asked me on a Saturday night, “Don’t you have ANY friends?”
To which I reply, without fail, “YAH! YOU GUYS!” and give the ‘rents a bear hug! Gosh, parents are so cool!
It’s sad, but add in a Murder, She Wrote marathon and a trip to the library, and then you’d have my ideal weekend. Also, I’m 83.
Man on the commuter train must come to the rescue PRONTO – or at least get in his pajamas with you and your mom…
