And I sincerely hope that you folks are too! Why is this week so great? Well, gather around the fire of your computer screen and I shall both lead us in a round of Kumbaya (Or Kum Ba Yah, both versions were all up in my Yahoo search) and tell of the great adventure that is unadventurous in every way, but still fantastic.
1. I arrived at work for the first time in over a month on Saturday, and the regular schedule was not being applied, and I was told to go home! Holiday weekends are super slow, and so only two people were working. And I was not one of those two people. Therefore, I had the entire weekend off.
2. Having the weekend off, I finally had the chance to film a commercial for a scholarship. But when I went to the website to see what the address is, I see it is also due that day. So I emailed the people and pulled the pneumonia excuse, and got a slight extension. Only a day, but still, it’s all I needed.
3. Also dealing with scholarships, I was called into our school’s guidance office Tuesday. Convinced that someone had died and that was the reason they were calling me, I walked into the office and everyone was smiling, etc. I was pretty worried with this whole smiling thing, still. But it turns out that they nominated me for a scholarship, due Thursday. Crazy fast to do a scholarship, but crazy nice of them.
4. A great friend is coming to visit from the great state of Texas, and I haven’t seen her in nearly a year, so it’s fantastic. We’ve been pretty much best friends for five years, but she moved, so it was really sad. But now she’s coming to visit, and that’s cause for celebration.
5. The Reno 911 movie comes out Friday, and I don’t know about you, but I have been looking forward to this for quite some time. It’s either going to be really great, or just plain ruin my life.
6. I’m finally going back to work this weekend after my fierce battle with pneumonia (still no offers from any of those women’s channels to make a movie about it). Normally I’d be more like “Oh shit, I have to work this weekend.” And I am, actually, but I need some money. I’m planning on buying a really cute pair of shoes tomorrow. I’ll need more money to buy more essential things. Those shoes are totally on sale though.
7. Short and sweet reason here- DID YOU SEE HEROES THIS WEEK!? Oh. My. Baby. Jesus. I’m in love with Peter.
8. The OC is finally over! This was a bit sad, sort of ending a very vital part to my high school years, but I stopped watching a long while ago. Did you know there was an earthquake on the OC? I didn’t. But the thing told me before I watched the series finale. That’s CRAZY!

I am wondering, just curious, mind you, since I bet I am older than your mother, but where does the Kumbaya reference come from, since I didn’t think anyone knew Kumbaya any more. (???)
You are both brilliantly hysterical.

Ugh my week sucks. I love my job, but hate the customers. Such is life, I guess.

To round out your happy week, why not go have impure thoughts about Harry Potter:
