I believe any talking tree/trees in the immediate vicinity would laugh their acorns off.
If you think that was dumb I have to agree, but I don’t think it was as dumb as the question.

Well, since a falling tree is the equivalent of death in the tree world, I don’t think the other trees would laugh so much as reflect, soberly, on their own mortality and the transience of life.
