With Labor Day just around the corner, it’s the official end of the summer. And what does summer mean? Vacationing with the family, that’s what! So I’m here to give you a rundown of all the family vacations I went on over the summer.

This picture is from the one vacation I didn’t get to go on with my family this year. They went to the Gulf Shores, but it was too close to my Vermont vacation so I couldn’t take off from work again. But I couldn’t resist posting this picture of my adorable nieces and nephew.
Click here to continue with the vacations I was actually on!
Here we are at Saratoga Racetracks. Look at everyone else studying the programs to learn about the horses before placing their bets. I love how I’m just standing there idly. I prefer to pick my horses by their names rather than their stats. Perhaps that’s why I haven’t won in 47 years.
But I look damn good trying!

Here we are at my Aunt and Uncle’s house along the Hudson. They live on a shale beach which is perfect for skipping rocks. I’m pretty sure I was the best at it. But only if you don’t count my brother and sister. But I totally had my nephew beat. Maybe.
We do lots of eating on family vacations. It’s kind of our thing. Yum!

Okay. So we went to Sesame Place. I’m sorry if I offend anyone else in this picture by calling us dorks, but there were five adults and one child. That is a completely unacceptable ratio of adult to child for Sesame Place.
Me and some of the native flora.
Me and Mom dropping by Big Bird’s digs. Seriously, I told you we were dorks.
This is my “take the damn picture already” face.

Damn you for taking Grover’s place in the hearts of children everywhere. Viva la Grover!

Aw, yeah.

I think they’re being surrounded by Baptist protestors.

Then we went to Dorney Park.

No I didn’t.

No I didn’t.
Here we are on a ride. Apparently we’re the only white people there.
Not so bad yet.

Then it got bad.
So Summer is coming to a close. Thank god. I’m ready for argyle sweaters and Christmas.

I really think we should get more butt shots when you do photo montages.

Nieces and nephew ARE adorable. They obviously take after thier uncle. Even if he is a bit dorky.
Oh, and may I second the more butt shots in your photo montages vote?
HUGS…

That made me smile - thanks Craig! (Oh, and your nephew totally looks like a Mini-Craig. Has anyone ever told you that?)
