1. Pushing Daisies is still wonderful.

2. Bionic Woman is still frustratingly mediocre.

3. Private Practice and America’s Next Top Model have been cut from the TV watching schedule. Just as I was previously dedicated to, but eventually cut: ER, The OC, and season 6 of 24.

4. Elizabeth 2: The Virgin Strikes Back was awesome. I don’t understand the bad reviews and general lack of interest. Cate Blanchett is amazing. Clive Owen was dreamy. The end battle was so completely low budget, but I loved it.

5. Everytime I see a picture of Amy Winehouse, I hate her more. The. Hair. Drives. Me. Crazy. Imagine if Tony Hawk, Shaun White, and Amy Winehouse were all in the same room? I get nervous just thinking about it.

6. I got Transformers on DVD. I’m really excited to see it again.

7. Despite making fun of it in my Autumn post, I’m enjoying The Children of Hurin and recommend it for all Tolkien fans.

8. Just a reminder to e-mail with a topic you’d like to debate with me!

I love pushing daisies. I’m trying not to grow too attached.

I’ve tried to convince my boyfriend that Bionic Woman is mediocre. At best. He’ll have none of it.

I liked it better when it was called Dark Angel.

OMG, I had a checker the other day who obviously LOVES Amy Winehouse. The hair was NOT quite as high and she didn’t appear to be on heroin, though.

I agree with you re: Pushing Daisies and Bionic Woman. I watched BW because you mentioned it, and because I had wanted to see it. I almost fell asleep during…zzzz….

See? I’m falling asleep just typing about it!

Pushing Daisies, on the other hand, was WONDERFUL!!! I love the narrator!

I’m with you on the Winehouse. The hair is totally gross, her eyemakeup kinda freaky, and she always looks like she’s way too many days past her last shower and sleep session. Perhaps I should throw stones when I grow up to be a rockstar. Also, while I am being judgemental, I have only heard one of her songs, but I didn’t much like it. I thought perhaps she was trying too hard.

Sorry dude, that Elizabeth movie was horrible. Did you see the first one? She was a strong woman then. This time, she was weak, vasillating whiney women crying over a pirate. Shameful. The battle scenes I thought were the best. but overall….meh.

    HUGS….

Amanda: You are the second person I have seen say they are trying not to get attached to Pushing Daisies. Why? Does it really seem like a show that is not going to make the cut?

Craig: I really can’t wait to see Elizabeth 2. I never got into the first one when it came out but I watched it the other night on and now I am hooked.

  12. Logan on October 19, 2007 at 10:52 pm

Are you a Grey’s watcher, Craig? I love private practice. Addison is just so… Addison. I’m with Miss Britt as far as private practice is concerned.

    1. Bionic Woman is frustratingly sucky, as you say. But then, I’m a 41 yo man and its hit me that perhaps this show is not aimed at the likes of me, in which case it may be quite good, in a paris hilton sort of way;

    2. here, they call it “Elizabeth: The Golden Age” not “Elizabeth: The Virgin Sucks Dick” or whatever it was you said. I loved the first one; this one they managed to turn into a chick flick. Why did E turn so female, so unstable, so bitchy? What happened to the ballsy, masculine E I fell in love with?

    3. Winehouse is the Rickie Lee Jones of the 00′s, but not quite as talented. Hope she survives herself.

    4. I need to research you more so that I can come up with a topic to debate you on that you will want to debate somebody on.

    5. love the mickey mouse ears, and the pose (or the captured moment, whichever it is). Excellent!

I kept on calling it Elizabeth 2: Liz kicks ass.
