Gay Bloggies: Round 10

December 13, 2007
By

Holy crap! I think I’m starting to have heart palpatines! I can’t believe I survived the Gay Bloggies: Round 9 Elimination! Thank you guys so much for voting and keeping me in the game!

The challenge for Round 10 was to discuss our New Year’s resolution. I wasn’t sure what to make my resolution so I posted a few ideas and I need your help to pick which one should be my 2008 New Year’s resolution!

There’s only three of us left in the contest, so I need your vote now more than ever! You should head over and give me a thumbs up so I stay in the contest! And leave a comment while you’re there! People were pretty mean last round, so I need some nice comments to make me feel better! And if you have a blog, please send your readers over to vote for me!

CLICK HERE TO READ MY POTENTIAL NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS AND GIVE ME A THUMBS UP!

AND THUMBS DOWN FOR THE OTHER GUYS!

Here are some of my favorite comments from the previous round:

Rick: OMG! I wish you didnt have to go! Gonna miss you! – It’s so deliciously passive-aggressive! I love it!

Phil: That’s pretty enough for you showing your face here. I think I would be more interested in seeing the background of your pictures. – I’m not even sure what that means.

Perth: that was hilarious but way elementary…. thumbs down for ya hunny - Hilarious, but thumbs down…interesting! Also, they spelt “hunny” like they do in Winnie the Pooh!

Romaha: wow. not much variety in your approach to blogging, is there? couldn’t you try to stretch a little, and please kill the aw shucks goofy cute thing. it’s a bit much on a full stomach - Aw shucks! That’s not very nice! Sad face! LOL!

Romaha also left a comment on Frank’s post: i would say that clearly there is one blogger here who does in fact work his ass off to entertain us each time, and that blogger is fausto. he should win. even when his entries haven’t pleased everyone, they’ve shown his hard work and creativity. the bottom line could be pleasing the masses or it could be doing things as well as you can. I don’t think this blogger has done that, but fausto has, and does. still. this guy is better than that simpering idiot with the photos of himself holding dolls every damn day, i mean, jesus, what the hell is he still doing here? – LOL! Did he just call Felice a doll? Felice is so much more than a doll! He is a friend, a shoulder to cry on, and sometimes designated driver.

Also, I’d just like to point out that my fans don’t leave nasty comments on other peoples’ posts. They’re WAY too cool for that. Most of the people that leave nasty comments on my posts can be found on some of the other contestants posts saying things like: “YOU ARE THE BEST EVAR!!!11!!! YOU ARE SOOOOO GONNA WIN!!!” It’s not the other contestants fault obviously, they can’t control their fans. I’m just noting how much cooler my fans are.

oh man, I saw some of those comments and I was like “wow, people are really getting into this!”

Don’t let them get you down, you’re great! I started out voting on the Gay Bloggies to support OMG Blog!, but then I saw how funny you are and had to switch my allegiance to the Dork Side… I mean Dark Side.

  3. Mike on December 13, 2007 at 10:33 pm

Holy crap you’ve made it far! I’ve voted in each round. :)

And I think that the “GO OUT MORE” resolution should be the one you go with.

  4. ginamonster on December 13, 2007 at 10:38 pm

The last one was about where you live, right? because I was SO not impressed with the other entries. I mean, I know the site is not geared towards heterosexual females, but if you asked to see where I live, I’d take pictures of my bedroom too.

ps I like your “aw shucks” attitude. It’s so much better than the “look how gay I am!!” attitude. Which, honestly, is getting a bit tiresome from the other entrants. Don’t they have any other facets to their personalities?

I’m probably goiong to get in trouble for that…

Dear Craig, I’m sorry I didn’t know you when you still worked at The Bird. I can’t believe the stupid asshole nasty comments people leave on this and other blogs. I have absolutely no faith in the self-involved, self-entitled people who leave hostile, barely literate comments.
You are so funny and there’s nothing better than having a sense of humor about yourself and I only wish I had a son I could fix up with you!!!!

  6. Polt on December 13, 2007 at 10:52 pm

you’re gonna win cause your fans dont leave the nasty rude comments on the other guys blogs. Its karma. it’s fate. And I better get something from you for all the voting I’m doing!

    Kidding…I kid! I kid because I love.

    HUGS…

Bribery isn’t a bad idea… I mean OMG Blog! is going to give away 14 subscriptions to some porn site to its readers if they win. :P

The adorkable-ness is obviously rubbing off on your fans too, since they are sweet enough not to post nasty comments on other people’s entries ;-) A theme of those that were mean to you seemed to be a dislike of being “childish”. Firstly, it is totally adorable and shows an actual maturity that is not embarrassed to play and have fun, and secondly, how much more playground can you get than leaving ill-conceived (and often spelt), spiteful remarks on your posts? Continued thumbs-up (and fingers-crossed) :-)

On behalf of the fans of the Feast of Fools, I apologize for the mean spiritedness.

I have enjoyed your posts the entire way through this competition and feel that the negative comments are completely unnecessary.

While I do hope that Fausto wins, I’m very pleased that you have made it this far and hope that the stupidity of a few people doesn’t create a bad impression of the rest of us or of the FoF.

Keep up the good work Craig!

Your persona is refreshing, and I’m not just saying that as someone who self-identifies as a dork. I say it as a gay man who has never seen the appeal of adopting that seen-it-all, roll the eyes, I’m Paris Hilton and you’re not attitude. I tried being a pretty whore, but you know what? It was too much work, and not very rewarding. Thanks for making me smile and laugh every day!

I’m doing my part for Team Puntabulous. I posted on my blog urging my reader (a.k.a. “Mom”) to vote thumbs up for Craig.

Don’t let the negative comments shake you from your game. If pictures of yourself with dolls and an awshucks goofy grin have taken you to round 10, don’t give up on that strategy. No one likes flip-flops this time of year (unless you wear socks with them).

    100% agree with ginamonster

  13. Howard on December 14, 2007 at 11:09 am

Aw, shucks. We’re only nice because you are. You rub off on us. Well, we’d LIKE you to rub on us.

  15. Kyne on December 14, 2007 at 6:49 pm

Dont worry craig the beautiful always must suffer the slings and arrows of the little people

It just goes to show that your fans are not a bunch bitchy queens. You attract a much nicer breed of people.

  16. vuboq on December 14, 2007 at 8:28 pm

    vuboq *hearts* puntabulous

and thinks Craig’s Resolution should be to go out more … with vuboq. unless of course you’d rather go out more with some other boring blogger. vuboq would be ok with that … maybe.

  17. Edbert on December 14, 2007 at 9:56 pm

I may have been aware of this blogging competition veeery late (only since last round) but I saw your blog and instantly bookmarked it.

Love the attitude, the confidence, and the playfulness. Keep going, and thumbs up Craig!

  18. Lunzie on December 14, 2007 at 10:09 pm

I was pretty disappointed at the negative comments, too. Momma always said if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. It’s a good mantra to live by.

That way you don’t make yourself look like a massive tool! Shame on those who feel they have to belittle others to make themselves feel good.

    We’re rootin’ for ya, Craig.

  19. Kári on December 15, 2007 at 5:48 pm

Yeah, I’ve been voting for OMG blog !! but since I started noticing how puntabulous you actually are I’ve refrained from giving you thumbs down. And if Frank had ever been booted out, your vote would have been mine. I’ve just read him longer, so you have all next year to impress me!
