In case you missed it, Elmo made a guest appearance on my 100th episode. When was the last time any of those other furry freaks went out and helped build a house for children with dead parents! Thats what I thought. On that note I want to do a debate with you sometime. This was a really long debate, and I got distracted half way through but I am assuming that it ended with everyone agreeing that Elmo is the best muppet. Consider the many stints he did as Kermit's sidekick, where he ate the cardboard letters - that was the work of a comsummate actor (alphabet letter DO NOT taste like cookies), and as Michelle pointed out, his job as host of Monsterpiece Theatre was classic; no one even remembers that Alistair guy who did it before him anymore. outside of Cookie Monster, the only truly gifted monster muppet was Animal; a gifted though deranged creature who nonetheless provided a righteous backbeat to the groovy sounds of Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem. This one was absolutely hilarious. I loved grover so much I named one of our childhood dogs after him.
