Okay, I realize about 1% of you will think this is cool, but here is a video of Megan Mullally (I know!) singing my favorite Decemberists song ever: I Was Meant for the Stage:
The lyrics can be a bit hard to decipher in her version, so here is the original version set to a video of some guy displaying 20 years worth of concert tickets. It’s pretty cool, there’s some great names in there.

That was absolutely awesome. What a great rendition of a great song.
And, yeah, the Decemberists are pretty damn incredible. They used to come to Columbus fairly regularly, but I’ve never gotten to see them perform — I’ve heard it’s quite a show.

Craig, I’ve loved The Decemberists for years. I’m not surprised that you like them as well. I’m more convinced now than ever that we need to go to California and get gay-married.

I’m not as adoring of the Decemberists as all that, but Megan Mullaly can do no wrong. And Zach, you better watch yourself. I’m already in California, and if anyone is gay-marrying Craig, I am.
See, this is why we need gay-polygamous-marriage now.

Thanks for the marriage proposals guys! But I think I’m going to stay out of California for a while until things blow over. I mean, if God was going to send it plunging into the ocean, now would be the time.

I <3 the Decemberists, and that is one of my favorite songs. She did a decent cover. Did you know they opened for Obama’s speech Portland last weekend? And here I am, a 30 minute transit ride from it and I didn’t go. Could have seen two awesome performances. Me = fail.
