Oh Battlestar Galactica! Why must you always make us suffer through your mid-season breaks?!

Let’s discuss in the comment section, shall we?

Mid-season breaks really irk me. When I saw the commercial saying last episode until 2009 I literally screamed “WHAT?!?” at my television. What happened to the good ole’ days of shooting an entire season and airing it from Fall until Spring? *sigh*
Great lolcat by the way. That was a great moment last episode.

I think the Writer’s Strike extended what would have been a short break into a half-a-year one. They’re just about to start filming the finale now.
Tonight’s episode was screened in L.A. on Wednesday (lucky bastids), and while I’ve avoided all spoilers, the general word is that this is the best cliffhanger episode to date. ‘Revelations’ is just too good a title not to expect major happennings.
I loved Mary McDonnell’s reaction last episode, you could see her think through the past few years and almost realize that maybe she was a cylon.

Great choice for the cat! That was the best moment of the show last week!
And while BSG won’t be back for a while, we still have other great shows to watch in the fall! I’m super excited for the return of Pushing Daisies as well as some others.

Yes! Pushing Daisies was my favorite show last year! And let’s hope Heroes is better than last season!

I’m totally shut out of this comment thread.

OOO. Pushing Daisies. I really hope they come out with an Olive Snook talking doll. Or one that sings Hopelessly Devoted To You.

Here’s a review with NO SPOILERS: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/37054
Craig knows I’m not very impressed with this season, but after reading this review I am SO EXCITED to see this.

Antonio: I still don’t get how you’re not impressed with this season.

I just don’t find the story as interesting as past seasons. I understand that they are just trying to set everything up for the second half, I just wished they’d get to it already. That being said, Cylon Tigh is awesome.

#1 Thank god someone else out there liked Pushing Daisies other than me!
#2 I almost expected Mary McDonnell’s wig to fly off her head like some old Benny Hill skit.
#3 I am VERY excited to see tonight’s episode even though it will be a while for the next one, and just imagine how much build-up there will be for that one.

I can’t wait!! Of course, I’ll have to wait until tomorrow night at first to get it since I have to download it from a torrent website that’s regrettably down at the moment… I hope they get it fixed. And I hope the big revalation will be that Felix Gaeta is gay and has been having a secret affair with the bisexual Lee. Or Anders. Or Billy who didn’t actually die.
June 13th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
Kari: I’m afraid to tell you that Billy did die. But he’ll be waiting for us (read: me) on the other side of the river.

I have personally never seen BSG, so I’m oblivious as to the true meaning of the “lol cats” when they relate to the show.
However, Pushing Daisies, I have seen and it’s one of the most creative shows ever. Love it! The show reminds me of Amelie.

I just finished watching. OMG OMG OMG!
June 14th, 2008 at 1:35 am
Yay! I’m so glad there are so many Pushing Daisies fans around. I absolutely adore the show and none of my friends watch it!
I didn’t see BSG tonight! It’s my mom’s b-day so we were celebrating. I’ll watch it in the morn. Craig seems to have liked it. lol.

Just watched! Thoughts…
1. I love when Lee says “Where do we go from here?” cause it makes me think of the 2 awesome songs with that name, one from the Buffy musical and one from Alicia Keys.
2. Starbuck’s face is hilarious when she finds out about Anders’ cylonity. haha! Stupid tramp married a cylon!
3. Why are they going with the cylons to Earth? I must have missed something MAJOR.
4. Why did Starbuck’s ship randomly start getting the signal? Sorry, but this seems like a kind of weak way of advancing the plot.
5. I don’t get the big deal with the ending… They were gonna try to repopulate New Caprica, so why not just do the same thing on “Earth.”
June 14th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
SPOILERS!
Are we certain that it was Earth? It seemed like they went out of their way not to show any defining features.
Maybe Starbuck’s ship was always giving the signal? Her return is what started making the final 4 hear the song/signal at the end of last season.
June 15th, 2008 at 12:43 am
Hmm… I don’t know if it was Earth. Somewhere online I read some person’s comment that it looked like the Brooklyn Bridge in the end?
I don’t know.
If it’s not Earth, that would be fitting. Of course Starbuck would be the one to lead them to the wrong planet!!
June 15th, 2008 at 11:37 am
Well, it looked like they were in Brooklyn, looking over Lower Manhattan. And I think there’s definitely more to that ship that started pointing the way to Earth all of a sudden. We know it’s not the original one. Something’s been done to it. And that score, OMG, it was amazing. And even more so when I saw Bear McCreary’s blog where he explains almost every tone he uses. http://www.bearmccreary.com/blog/, check it out.
June 15th, 2008 at 11:41 am
Well based on what that composer guy said in his blog (Kári’s link) it seems like it IS Earth.
June 18th, 2008 at 1:42 pm
Ugh! I’m late, this thread may be dead, but I just watched my recorded “Revelations,” last night (FINALLY!) and I can’t believe they’d pull a “it’s not really Earth” in the final half of this season.
I don’t know what they’lld do, but it’s intriging that they’d land on a future earth decimated by nuclear holocaust. Apparently we on Earth didn’t need Cylons to do ourselves in–just ourselves.
Also, in the lame original series, they do find Earth, in 1980 — BOY did that suck.
