That is a handsome photo. My feelings about "Pride" are complicated. For rather more than a few years I was closeted and homophobic. I had to work through that. Making real gay friends, and coming to respect those people for who they were (beyond just being gay) helped me overcome my homophobia the most. Sure there was lots of craziness I could not relate to, but for me, at the time, there was also a feeling of being a part of an accepted community. I valued that then. On the train home that evening there was a rowdy group of drunken gay kids. They were shooting inflated condoms all over the train and just being loud and obnoxious while waving their rainbow flags all over the place. When I got off the train I heard a (presumably) straight young couple in front of me say they were glad they "did not have fags like that in their town." Pride celebrations have ups and downs. Individuals living with integrity are the best emissaries for the any community. Congratulations on the feature. That is a handsome photo.

Nothing against pride parades, but I prefer to parade through life daily, just being my self.
