I also read all the way up to Heretics of Dune. When I was done I went through spice withdrawl cuz I had no more to read. If you haven’t read the whole series, its very
worth it!! All the characters in the series are golden!!! Just because of this series, Im gonna get me a dog, call her Jessica (Lady Jessica to be more precise), and teach
her to use Voice on command. Book one has the best last line of any book I’ve ever
read. Also, Gurney Halleck = Jean Luc Picard! Nuf said.

Have read all 6 Dune books and they are quite simply the most awesome science fiction novels ever produced. Ever. EVER! I loved the David Lynch movie (didn’t like the sci-fi chanel mini-series). Frank Herbert was actually a consultant on the Lynch film.

McAvoy can come off as quite buff when he wants to. I’m guessing the director of the Narnia flicks asked him to starve for a month before playing Tumnus because he doesn’t come off that way at all in that movie.

I read all the books through Heretics of Dune (yes, Craig, I do have moments of sci-fi fandom). While James McAvoy is a cutie, the actor who plays Paul/Maudib is the one that really pushes my buttons.

Hey! James is Mr. Tumnus! That role holds a special place in my heart since my son played the same role in a stage version of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. And he got a rousing standing ovation at the curtain call (if I’m allowed to brag…).

Yeah, I’ve only read the first book, and after seeing the second movie, and hearing about what happens to his character, it doesn’t really make me want to keep reading the series, although I know I should, and eventually will.

Oooh…yes. James McAvoy (drooling as I type). I watched this just a few weeks ago for the 10th time probably. The twins are facinating characters and James rocked his part. Never read the books…thought about it…but decided not to after I read about Leto’s demise and how he transformed into a half worm/half man being…yuck.

ooo…James McAvoy…even more of a reason to watch them now. I just saw him in ‘The Pool’ a few weeks ago…ok film, at least he was in a bathing suit for most of it.
