The season finale of Project Runway is gonna start soon! I have a feeling Leanne’s gonna win, but I’m still pulling for Korto. Sorry to all you fans of the hot librarian type, but do you not remember the woven seatbelt jacket/dress Korto made?! Seriously! It was amazing! But don’t worry, I’d be okay if Leanne won too. Kenley has some pretty solid designs also, she just needs to work on that sparkling personality of hers. Anyway, here’s an open thread we can use to discuss our predictions and reactions live. Almost like a live blog, but you know, less work for me. So jump on in the comments section and start talking!
Project Runway – Season Finale!

haha. Yeah, I’m not like, real mad she won, but I wanted Korto to win more
: (
Nothing will ever be as big of an upset as Austin’s loss to Wendy Pepper in season one though.
Loved Korto’s cute little walk onto the runway to introduce her line. And her first green dress was beautiful.
Oscar the Grouch green + Big Bird = Kenley’s headpiece
Leanne’s blue dress (the one her winning model wore)was my fave. I wish she would take some of her winnings and go to the hair salon. Maybe a cute bob? What do you guys think? Any idears? Anyway, loved her colors.
Nicky: I wanted Korto to win, too.
Craig: Top Chef is all kinds of awesome – please give it a try!
Ugh so did not want Leanne to win. Was rooting for Korto but I also liked Kenley’s collection as well. I just was not digging those waves.. how come those weren’t considered overworked.
I liked Kenly’s collection because it just fit well and looked well on the models. Kortos had a lot of flavor and was overall beautiful… but Leanne and those waves… no words can describe that.
Boooo leanne’s collection was boring, I would never use any of her designs, so plain and ugly
Korto is the true winner in my heart
I’m bummed I missed this event!
My thoughts were that I liked elements of Kenley and Korto’s lines, but liked Leanne’s the most, even if it was a bit repetitive.
Korto’s white pants suit and dress were amazing! I also loved Leanne’s pants and vest combo. The outfit that grew 2 sizes was beautiful to begin with, but ended looking a little rough at the end.
I’m so glad Leanne won!
Well, as Dave S. mentioned, I watched the debate instead. But what I wanted to see even more than the debate, even more than the PR finale, is to see Dave S. and Chaz jumping around the living room!!
How funny that woulda been.
Going to bed…talk atcha guys 2morrow.
HUGS…
I posted all my opinions on Polt’s site (http://poltspalace.blogspot.com), but I’ll be more than happy to reiterate.
I thought that although Kenley had some nice individual designs, her collection was just all over the place. There was a vague thread that went through the line, but it simply wasn’t strong enough. Certainly not strong enough to stand up to Korto and Leanne.
Korto’s collection was very very good. She had cohesion and it gave you a sense of who the designer was. But quite frankly, there were some misses in her line — at least a couple garments simply didn’t work. She does have an incredible eye for elegant asymmetry — not an easy thing to pull off, especially in textile. This chick is going to go places, I guarantee it — win or no win.
Leanne’s line was simply beautiful. It was elegant, sophisticated and fun all at once. And incredibly well-executed. The flow of the pieces worked and she was all about cohesion, but with surprises thrown in.
Though I would’ve missed the chance to whooping hollers of joy when they announced Leanne, if they had said Korto’s name instead I wouldn’t have been entirely disappointed.
Leanne’s line had a few surprises thrown in? You mean the one with the wave pattern? Or the other one with the wave pattern? Or do you mean that other one with the wave pattern?
Noooooo! Korto was robbed! I wanted her to win so badly and then I saw her line and I really thought she deserved it! Not that I didnt like Leanne’s line but it was very one note. At least Kenley, with the fern growing out of her head, didnt win. She stole that plant in the head look from Jarrell! And then I saw that super structural floral dress and i just screamed BALENCIAGA! She had to have seen those photos of Jennifer Connelly in that outfit… they were everywhere.

Oh my. The resemblence is quite remarkable.
Thank you for the pic GoKitty, but I have to say: Rip-off maybe, especially the shoulders, but definitley a very big improvement in the skirt. JC’s dress is ridiculous and all other Balenciaga’s that season were very, very short. He needed space on the legs for the ridiculous Gladiator sandals. See for yourselves.
