Sick Day

November 6, 2008

I hope you people are happy! I dragged myself out of my sick bed just to share this magical discovery with you. The only good thing about being sick is getting to watch all the awesome daytime television you miss when you’re at work. Normally I would just mean Regis and Kelly and Ellen, but it turns out there are some other shows out there that I usually don’t get to watch:

Joe: Psh, panty flashing is the definition of sexiness, we no longer live in the puritan days where sexiness is hidden, catch up to today’s oversexed world. Also, I’d like to see if Ella could sing while doing Britney’s complex dance movies.

Enrico: Oh for sure she will release a great album, I can’t wait, it is going to be amazing. Did you get a chance to watch Dr. Horrible yet though?

  2. Enrico on November 6, 2008 at 2:41 pm

    No : (
That requires having a computer. I usually only have computer access at work, or if my roommate isn’t around and I steal his.
You did read about my computer accident on my blog, right?!

  3. joemosexual on November 6, 2008 at 2:46 pm

digkv: Ella is quite the dancer. Here she is singing a song about my current home. And she’s got quite the sway going on.

  4. digkv on November 6, 2008 at 2:46 pm

Enrico: Aw yea I’ve heard about your sad computer accident. Bad drink! I do like how you say Miley Cyrus is a ‘real’ singer though haha, I do enjoy her music though. See you again is absolutely amazing and 7 things i hate about you was incredibly surprising: she really is talented.

  5. digkv on November 6, 2008 at 2:48 pm

Joe: Swaying is dancing? Maybe if you listen to Michael Buble it is but real dancing requires lots of dry humping and thrusting and shaking of the bosoms and crawling on the floor, and the ability to use a stripper’s pole.

  6. joemosexual on November 6, 2008 at 2:49 pm

digkv: So you’re quite the accomplished “dancer” then….is that what I’m hearing?

  7. digkv on November 6, 2008 at 2:51 pm

Joe: I don’t really like to show off but yes, I’m very talented in doing all the above dance techniques. Britney has been a great role model.

  8. Enrico on November 6, 2008 at 2:53 pm

digkv: I will have to send you a video from the festival at my school last year when I did an acoustic cover of “See You Again”! I suck at singing, but I have fun doing it.
Miley actually sings live too! So she gets points there. But I was just playing. I do like real singers though, like Leona Naess and Maria Mena and my new fave band The Weepies.
This year I’m performing at that festival again, but I’m keeping my performance under wraps since I’m gonna blog about it eventually.

  9. joemosexual on November 6, 2008 at 2:54 pm

OMG I didn’t know they released a Verve Remixed Vol. 4….

in all seriousness if you like Jazz music and Modern House and Remixes go get that cd. I’ve got the first 3. They are great if you’re having people over for cocktails or for feeling classically sexy in a modern way. ;-)

  10. joemosexual on November 6, 2008 at 2:56 pm

Enrico: OMG I love the weepies too! I’m glad to see that someone else appreciates them.

  11. joemosexual on November 6, 2008 at 2:56 pm

OMG…..(just because third times a charm)

  12. digkv on November 6, 2008 at 2:58 pm

Enrico: Sounds awesome, I’m sure you’re a great singer and acoustic “see you again” certainly sounds promising. Real singers, I like them too, I actually listen to country too haha, and with great singers like Miranda Lambert, i am not ashamed at all.

Joe: Classically sexy in a modern way? Sounds like an oxymoron if you’re talking about jazz. I think I might download some of that just to see what all this hubbabaloo is about.

  13. Tam on November 6, 2008 at 2:59 pm

Damn, missed the pole dancing discussion. At the gym they always have the TV turned to some lame-ass sports channel (like ESPN42 – so no real sports) and they had the “Miss Fitness USA” competition. (I’d rather watch hockey) Ummm. Since when is pole dancing (yes, she was pole dancing) exposing your fitness level? Ummm, what about dressing like a freaking harem girl and stripping? What the hell was up with that? I think it was the Miss Stripper USA and they just changed the name.

Enrico: Britney is by no means the trashiest person out there. Many “celebs” have her beat by a mile.

Miley Cyrus? I’m sorry, but I’m feeling a bit ill.

  14. Tam on November 6, 2008 at 3:00 pm

Never heard of the weepies. Would I like this? Someone tell me what I think.

  15. digkv on November 6, 2008 at 3:02 pm

I’ve never heard of the weepies either, but here is a song by 3Oh!3 that i’ve been obsessing over for the past 2 weeks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdB3Oyd5HtU it is incredibly addictive of a song.

  16. joemosexual on November 6, 2008 at 3:04 pm

    digkv: here’s an example

    Original Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEomeAsDzHk

    Verve Remixed Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jn-7fefl0g

  17. Dave S. on November 6, 2008 at 3:04 pm

    Jazz is awesome.

Britney’s a refreshingly bright spot on the pop scene right now.

Miley (I’m ashamed to say) is addictive.

Tam needs a pole in her livingroom.

    And a webcam.

  18. Dave S. on November 6, 2008 at 3:08 pm

digkv: Damn. YouTube’s blocked at work and when I tried to bring it up on my iPhone, it says the video’s not iPhone compatible. :-( Guess I’ll have to wait until I get home…

  19. Tam on November 6, 2008 at 3:09 pm

You wish Dave. (Actually, you don’t, trust me on that one.)

Digkv: Okay, kind of a weird video but the song is kind of catchy.

  20. Enrico on November 6, 2008 at 3:09 pm

joemo: SERIOUSLY?! I can’t find anyone else that even knows who they are! I’m pretty sure “Gotta Have You” is one of the sweetest songs of all time.

digkv: I love Martina McBride, and she’s def a real singer. She’s amazing live too. And I’m starting to be really drawn to Taylor Swift now too…

  21. Enrico on November 6, 2008 at 3:10 pm

digkv: Oh, and speaking of Joss (before) did you see the new Dollhouse trailer?!

  22. Tam on November 6, 2008 at 3:10 pm

Enrico: My daughter was really into Taylor Swift for awhile, but I think she’s kind of over her now. I enjoyed some of her songs but a few were a bit too “country twangy” for me.

  23. Dave S. on November 6, 2008 at 3:12 pm

Finally was able to pull up the 3OH!3 video. Hilarious. And pretty damn snappy. I’ll have to hunt that one down on iTunes…

  24. digkv on November 6, 2008 at 3:13 pm

Dave: Aw, well I do hope you enjoy it when you get home, it’s quite fun

Enrico: Oh i love Taylor Swift too, her music is very innocent and charming and OMG new Dollhouse trailer?!! I am so googling that right now.

Tam: Haha yea the music video is weird, but i love the misogynistic type lyrics: hilarious!

  25. digkv on November 6, 2008 at 3:19 pm

Dave: I am glad you liked it haha, it’s such a catchy song seriously.

Also not sure if anyone has seen this but it was relased a couple months ago, but it’s a kristin chenoweth music video that parodies the “Intervention” series. It is awesome: http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/aa15baae2b/intervention-with-kristin-chenoweth-from-kristin-chenoweth-and-drew

  26. digkv on November 6, 2008 at 3:35 pm

I have to get to class now, a 3-4 hour lab. Comment with you guys afterwards!

  27. polt on November 6, 2008 at 3:38 pm

“one’s panty hampster” – HILARIOUS! It is now my most favorite saying EVER. I shall try to find ways to…insert it into my vocabulary.

Dave S., if you buy the pole for her living room, I’ll buy Tam the webcam! :)

    HUGS…

  28. Tam on November 6, 2008 at 3:40 pm

Hey, when did it become pick on Tam day. What’s going on here?

  29. Bill on November 6, 2008 at 3:53 pm

Tam: One should never look a gift horse in the mouth…or something like that. Take the swag and go with it! Oh…and a little talcum powder behind the knees and on the thighs helps prevent any friction burns….so I’ve been told. ;)

  30. Tam on November 6, 2008 at 4:39 pm

Well, time to go home. Oh and Bill, if Polt and Dave are giving me gifts, I’m not going to be looking at their mouths. ;-)

  31. joemosexual on November 6, 2008 at 5:02 pm

I am so excited I’m going to barnes and nobles after work to pick up Verve Remixed 4!!!!

  32. Mark on November 6, 2008 at 5:09 pm

A good laugh will make you feel better. If you DVR Family Guy watch last Sunday’s episode. 18 minutes in Stewie finds Chris’ Hustler magazine under his bed……

    “You can’t hurt anyone anymore!!!!”

  33. Michelle M. on November 6, 2008 at 5:19 pm

If Tuesday was pick on Dave S. day and today is pick on Tam day, does that mean that Saturday is pick on polt day?

Joemo: I love me some old jazz. Goes great with martinis.

If Craig dies, I get dibs on Argyle the snail.

  34. Michelle M. on November 6, 2008 at 5:22 pm

Mark: As a proud owner, I should be offended. But it was pretty funny.
    Here it is on YouTube:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pU9zxC8VhU4

    Gotta love that Stewie.

  35. Mark on November 6, 2008 at 5:51 pm

Michelle M.: You are my hero, I searched earlier and couldn’t find it. And don’t be offended, it was Hustler vaginas he was shooting at. Not beautiful perfect women like yourself.

    Am I forgiven?

  36. Mark on November 6, 2008 at 5:53 pm

Michelle M.: I almost forgot, when you said “Proud Owner” the first thing that popped into my mind was “let’s take that baby for a spin”. Of course I was thinking in automotive terms. ;-)

  37. Michelle M. on November 6, 2008 at 5:59 pm

Mark: There’s nothing to forgive. Funny is funny : ).

  38. Mark on November 6, 2008 at 6:00 pm

And who knew Peter had such a beautiful voice.

  39. Enrico on November 6, 2008 at 6:05 pm

digkv: I love that Kristin Chenoweth video! Amazing!
I love when the parents get their solos! And the sister is a pretty good singer. And the best friend bit is great.

  40. Milo on November 6, 2008 at 6:11 pm

    Get well soon old stick.

  41. Michelle M. on November 6, 2008 at 6:22 pm

Mark: The voice of an angel.

    My favorite Family guy exchange:
Brian Griffin: [singing]Take to the highway, won’t you lend me your name…
Stewie Griffin: Who sings that song?
    Brian Griffin: James Taylor.
Stewie Griffin: Yeah, let’s keep it that way.

  42. digkv on November 6, 2008 at 8:25 pm

Enrico: The parents have great parts haha, “our basement is now a meth lab” I love the best friend’s fantasy haha, but Kristin Chenoweth is just so amazing and has such a wonderful voice. That was seriously a very risky video she made but it was awesome, “you make cash giving head/ and spend it buying Sudafed”

  43. digkv on November 6, 2008 at 8:49 pm

Joe: That Verve remix sounds great, i love it when they remix classic songs like that. Has a nice dance beat to it.

  44. Enriquo on November 6, 2008 at 11:19 pm

Haha! Yeah. I was wondering if it would be considered risky but I don’t really know much about her. Just her time on Wicked and of course the best show on TV today, Pushing Daisies

  45. Sven on November 7, 2008 at 6:35 am

A day late, but I hope you’re feeling better. Get well soon!
