Your Project for the Day

Ever notice how all the people in my MSPaint drawings look alike? That’s because they’re all born from the same template. They’re like Lego people! For example, here I am:

But what do you look like? Right click on and save the file below and use MSPaint or a similar program to turn the blank template into an image of yourself. Be sure to save it as a bitmap (*bmp) file so it’ll be easier to use the fill-in tool. Use your imagination and add anything else you’d like! Then save it and e-mail it to me with your name, location, and blog if you have one, and I’ll post everyone’s pictures in a later post.

Get to work! Have fun! Be creative! And e-mail me your beautiful creations!

I just played around with it, but for some reason no matter what I do it looks like I’m wearing one of those jackets with Giant Shoulder Pads from the 80s. I’ll have to play with editing more.

Good hint about .bmp — I only started playing with Paint after seeing what you were able to do with it, and I saved as .jpeg from the start. Maybe this will make it all easier!

Ξ_Heather: I added another version of the blank template to make the shape for girls a bit less shoulderpaddy.

Okay, this should be good for a laugh if nothing else because I have no creative talent whatsoever. I suppose I could cheat and have my kid do it. :-) I have a shitload of stuff to do at work today so it might be an evening project. But I shall try and work hard so I can play later.

The boy girl ‘difference’ is hilarious! But what if you’re a bulky girl or a petite boy? :)

I’ll fiddle with this stuff soon, Craiggers, great idea!

Hooray for Argyle MS Paint Craig!

    Boo for Sugar.

  • By Craig, November 14, 2008 @ 10:49 am

    BOOO Sugar!

Her and Susie are dead to me. Charlie seems happy to be going to “my Marcus” though.

Watch the Ponderosa clips on the website.

  • By Craig, November 14, 2008 @ 11:12 am

I have to wait till I get home from work to watch them. What happens? Anything good?

  • By Ryan R., November 14, 2008 @ 11:37 am

Marcus and Charlie getting to know each other without any competitive barriers, going for shirtless runs on the beach, and coordinating their outfits.

  • By Craig, November 14, 2008 @ 11:46 am

In other words: Being gayer than ever!

    Can’t wait to watch!

  • By Ryan R., November 14, 2008 @ 11:47 am

    Also, no other annoying contestants.

  • By BOSSY, November 14, 2008 @ 12:31 pm

If Bossy could only tell you the time she just put into this — so much more fun than the alternative.

Thanks for playing along guys! I have 4 pics so far! Keep them coming!

  • By People in the Sun, November 14, 2008 @ 2:37 pm

I’m just glad to see you drew the boy and the girl accurately. It’s obvious that under the clothes the boy has a penis and the girl has a vagina. Like in real life!

  • By Polt, November 14, 2008 @ 7:36 pm

Wow, 4 pics already????? Geez, I guess it would go a lot easier if i could fill in large swatches of color, like I used to be able to, instead of having to color each individual little square at a time….

But I’m making it through…get it to you as soon as I can!

    Homework!

Survivor – The camera pans to Charlie after Marcus (who cleans up purty) sat in the jury section were fun.
Now I only have Bob to root for.

  • By Craig, November 14, 2008 @ 11:08 pm

Up to 11! And I love them all! Keep them coming!

  • By Enriko, November 14, 2008 @ 11:51 pm

    Hey everyone. I’m alive.
And the only picture editing program I have is Photoshop…

  • By digkv, November 15, 2008 @ 1:02 am

Enriko: Yay! you are alive! most wondrous to hear. You and your mac stuff keeping you from the glory of the incredibly mediocre MS paint program. Luckily the internet has everything http://canvaspaint.org/ that’s a clone of MS paint., now you can draw yourself! It’s much fun.

  • By Enrico, November 15, 2008 @ 2:02 am

Oops. I already did it in Photoshop
    : )
Ah… the days when I used to use MS Paint for my blog. That’s why my earliest entries have such bad pictures!

  • By Michelle M., November 15, 2008 @ 11:17 pm

Oh yeah – why did you burn the old Craig? You could have made him go to work in your place, do your errands, clean the toilet, give you massages, etc.

  • By Craig, November 16, 2008 @ 9:16 am

    Up to 18!

LOL @ Michelle M. He might came back as a horrible disfigured version of me and I can still make him do chores :-P

  • By Howard, November 16, 2008 @ 1:48 pm

Okay, done and sent. It’s a little strange, but then… well, you know.
