Well it’s that time! Time for me to show off your amazing creations! And let me tell you they are all so incredibly awesome, and I’m honored that so many of you took the time to make these for me to share with everyone! Over the next few days I’ll be adding these drawings to my blogroll and cooking up ways to insert you guys into my later posts. I’ve already come up with a way to give Avitable’s drawing a role in an upcoming episode of Super Viagra and Vagina Girl, which I think will be really fun (Avitable, e-mail me and I’ll fill you in).

My hair is long and always, always messy. It was that way when I was 7, and it’s that way now. I usually wear it in a braid so I can get through the day.

Amazing. Those are all fabulous. I am dazzled by people who drew pets. I thought about drawing my evil bunny but was clueless how to go about it. Evil jackalope made me laugh out loud. Many of them did actually. Great job everyone.

Thank God I do not have paint and could not figure out how to do one of these without it. There is no way mine would have looked near as good as any of these.

When I first read Chris’s question to the Equine Lord, I thought it said “How do you believe the challenges of your *mouth* shaped who you are today?” Which would have certainly elicited a completely different response…
Dave: I highly doubt you hate it more than me. Although I’m not sure how you measure that. But you do have shading in your drawing which is way talented.
I noticed he put Sven’s sunny Australia one next to mine just to mock my hatred of the coming winter. Michelle M’s is brilliant, she is our fairy princess. Wish I could comment on them all but the post would be way too long. I was kind of hoping there’s be no naked Puntabupeople so I wouldn’t get sidetracked today, but seems Avitable went and blew that plan.
Wow, that was awesome. I think Bossy’s might be my favorite as far as photorealism. She does have fabulous hair.

Heather: My Puntabutoon came true last night. I was at a benefit and was waiting by the bar for a bartender and this really hot girl walks up and starts small talk with something like “Oh, I’m sorry, were you before me?” And I was all gentlemanly and offered that she go first and we laughed a bit, then I was all, like, not knowing what to do after that.
I get all stupid and nervous and I totally clam up.

David: Don’t worry about the beard. We’ll just take a dry erase marker and draw it in on our monitors. Of course, it makes scrolling difficult — what with all the erase, draw, erase, draw, erase, draw — but it’s a sacrifice I’m sure we’ll be willing to take.

Bernd: If you’re living in Florida, shouldn’t you have had a mouse lurking in the background, or some other large costumed critter? And the sky was blue when I was there last year, every day. Sigh. It was amazing. There was no snow at all and it was warm. I was happy. Those were the days.

In regard to first contacts with potential future dates: sometimes _what_ you say, initially, is not as critical as keeping the conversation going. I have had first meetings with people I considered dating where we had only semi-coherent first conversations. It can actually be endearing if someone is a little nervous when first talking to me, and sometimes that even helps to put me more at ease. First conversations don’t have to be silky smooth. Eventually the two people get more comfortable with each other, and then things start to make more sense, or it becomes obvious there isn’t a connection. Either way there is minimal downside and huge upside potential.
So many new blogs I have to check out. This was an awesome post.

Hey, I just realized — I’ve never been in a parade before now! Woohoo!
This is my second parade, but I prefer this one I must say.
Once upon a time (on July 4, 1995 I suspect), Ξ_Heather and I were driving on a two-lane Wisconsin state highway that hugs the Mississippi River, somewhere just SE of Red Wing I think. For many of the small river towns, the state highway is the *only* north-south road through town (with the E-W streets all dead-ends. So if you want to have a 4th of July parade, you close the highway.
Well, apparently we didn’t notice the road closure signs or something, and we found ourselves driving a grandpa-brown 1982 Chevy Impala down Main Street in the midst of the parade, with the sidewalks lined by dozens of locals waving at us (and probably waiting for us to roll down the windows and toss them candy or something).
Mmmmm. Road trips in the Impala. Great times.
Yay for you Dave. I was a clown in a Santa Claus parade once, in Winnipeg, in December . Do you have any idea what the wind chill was? -315 I think. I stopped working for that organization soon after that I think. Damn that was cold. So this is my second parade, and much more pleasant than the first.

I have been in lots of parades, with the Indian Guides (anyone else ever do that?), Cub Scouts, and finally Boy Scouts. I have to say this parade was more fun and more diverse. Less walking as well.
