So today is Thanksgiving in America and I thought it was appropriate to use today’s post to give thanks for a few things:
My Family: Who has always been really supportive of my endeavors and life in general. And a special shout out to my beautiful nieces, nephews and godchildren, who are all vastly more intelligent than I could ever be. Seriously, I think there’s something in the water.
My Friends: Who always make looking back on memories fun, and making new memories even funner.
Christmas Shopping: I’m ridiculously thankful that I’m finished with all my Christmas shopping earlier than usual this year. No crowded parking lots for once!
The TV Group: For making TV watching a sophisticated art form. See you all December 3rd!
My Job: I kinda hate it sometimes, but these days you can’t take anything for granted. And my boss called me at home on my sick day to tell me to stay home the next day also, so that’s pretty cool too.
Andy: Who I haven’t seen in a few years, and our schedules never seem to match up when he’s in New York, but I’m just thankful I get to exist in the same world as him and his positive energy.
My Blog Readers: I’m grateful you guys stick around and smile and nod at my lame jokes. And I love that you’re all so enthusiastic about commenting and in my three and a half years of blogging, I’ve never had to get out the fire hose and put out a flame war, because you guys are the smartest, politest, and downright awesomest blog readers in the blogosphere.

Hope you are having a wonderful holiday with your family. There are many things to be thankful for. And giant high 5 to you for getting your Christmas shopping done already. I am trying to do more on-line and I don’t have many people but my daughter is working on a “list”. Lord help me. LOL I know it includes Pittsburgh Penquins oven mitts. Go figure.

Boy, that must be a relief having all your shopping done : ).
The hub was going to make Thanksgiving dinner today, but is on the couch with food poisoning (mussels from Whole Foods). So it might be a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving for me (pretzels, toast, popcorn, jellybeans and an ice cream sundae).
