This is how I spent my Friday:

And they’re LED lights that use 90% less electricity than standard incandescent string lights. Go, Planet!

Very nice. My in-laws keep trying to get us to put lights out, but I know their plan. First it’s lights, then it is all the other lawn chotchkies like the sign to have Santa land here and the reindeer and sleigh…

The Christmas lights look great! We finished decorating today :)

  6. FDot on November 29, 2008 at 9:07 pm

Is that in some sort of design? The left side kind of looks like a peacock. It all looks great though.

  7. Polt on November 29, 2008 at 9:34 pm

Wow, I wonder if they can see this from the space shuttle in orbit?

That whole rainbow of Christmasy goodness sure does look….festive!

Good job. Wanna come to PA and get my lights up? I have way fewer than that! :)

    HUGS…

Michelle: What an amazing video. I swear you are the YouTube Queen. :-)

  12. Craig on November 29, 2008 at 11:40 pm

Oy. I think that video needs to go back to the depths of Hell from which it came. :-P

Super cute house with super cute lights.

  15. Michelle M. on November 30, 2008 at 12:43 am

Craig – how can you say that? That is the most adorkable video ever!

  16. Ryan R. on November 30, 2008 at 1:29 am

Cool lights. I’m curious how my parents will decorate their house this year. It’s the first Christmas since they moved.

PS – This weekend I’ve been enjoying Mitch Hewer (aka Maxi from Skins) in Britannia High. It’s a cross between Skins and High School Musical. I figured Polt might be interested.

OMG I love that video. Too freaking funny. I think I woke hubby up laughing so loud.

  18. Polt on November 30, 2008 at 8:48 am

Ryan R.: Polt is DEFINITELY interested…but where can I see Britannia High? A DVD?

    HUGS…

Sooo Pretty! I love Christmas lights.

But I have to admit, I miss your awesome package from last year.

Actually, I thought Polt would pick up on that. He must still be in a post-Thanksgiving haze.

At the :57 point on the video, you hold up your index finger and say “fruitcake”.

  21. Craig on November 30, 2008 at 10:38 am

Okay, I just tried to watch the video, but I got about 10 seconds in before I had to stop it out of embarrassment. So awful!

  22. bernd on November 30, 2008 at 11:17 am

oh great, now I will have ‘oh we need a little Christmas’ stuck in my head for the rest of the day and I won’t be able to stop smiling.

Yep, MM, this video needs to go to Urbandictionary as a definition for ‘adorkable’.

  23. Mark on November 30, 2008 at 11:33 am

If that is the only embarrassing thing you’ve done, consider yourself lucky.

I thought it was cute though. Especially “mumble mumble mumble need a little Christmas now.”

  24. Ryan R. on November 30, 2008 at 1:07 pm

Polt: It’s currently playing on ITV, so it’s not on DVD yet. They have an episode player on their website, but I haven’t been able to get that to work yet. You can find the episodes using a Google video search.

Here is a clip featuring one of Mitch Hewer’s songs:

Here is a clip from the first episode that made me decide it was going to be interesting:

Nice job on the lights. I need to get my decorating done soon. I LOVE LED lights. While the efficiency is great I also like the brightness and color of them. Not worrying about dead bulbs is great!

That Christmas song Craig sang was stuck in my head last night as I feel asleep. :) I think it is a cute video, it looks like he had fun with it at the time. I admire that he had the confidence to do it.
