The Calm AFTER the Storm:

December 26, 2008
By

Oh I’m sorry, were you looking for a new post? Because I’m afraid I have movies and television shows to watch, argyle sweaters to try on, and Wookies to slaughter. Your new post will have to wait. Though I hope you all have a great day!

Mom got me The Big Bang Theory because she laughs hysterically while watching it (as I’m watching Gossip Girl in the other room) and yells in: “Craig! You need to start watching this show! They’re just like you! They’re huge dorks!”

I LOVE your mom!!! And man, just looking at all that almost makes me go into an argyle coma! Enjoy your stuff! :)

    HUGS…

Wow – that’s a lot of argyle. Will you put on a fashion show for us?

I’m kind of afraid to ask… what is that thing on the right?

  4. Tam on December 26, 2008 at 1:06 pm

Michelle: I’m thinking its a light saber thingy. I’m hoping anyway. ;-)

Great stuff Craig. Your Mom is the best. But can one person have too much argyle? If so, I think you are nearing the limit my friend. :-)

The big bang theory is a really funny and watchable show!

  6. john on December 26, 2008 at 1:51 pm

I love your mom! Does she know how dorky all your readers are?

I’m thinking that thing on the right is something wii related. How much argyle can one boy have? I guess the answer in never enough.

You are a big Argyle fan!

I’ll be in Edinburgh at the end of Jan so will keep my eye out in case something up your street catches my eye! :P

Enjoy the rest of the holiday.

I truly heart all of your new argyle sweaters :) I’m still putting the Christmas mess away at my house today.

Now, I don’t know much about Star Wars, but the thing on the right looks like a lightsaber for the Wii. And yes, you will absolutely love The Big Bang Theory. It’s like geek heaven.

Comforting to know that you’re not in the slightest way perterbed when your mother refers to you as a dork. What other movies did you score for the holidays?

  12. photogreg on December 26, 2008 at 4:05 pm

I love your new argyle sweaters, especially the maroon and black ones.

I would recommend watching WALL-E, that was one of the better Pixar films I’ve seen. Yes, Wookies will be slaughtered after you watch you-know-what.

  14. Craig on December 26, 2008 at 4:47 pm

I just finished slaughtering Wookies and it was just as much fun as you would expect. :-)

The other movies I got were mostly the big summer movies: Dark Knight, WALL-E, Prince Caspian, Tropic Thunder

Cool movies. Please mail the movies down to us after you are done watching them or give the to mom & dad when they come down for a visit in February.

With a brother like you, who needs Netflix?

  16. Kimi on December 26, 2008 at 5:43 pm

I love that the picture is pretty much representative of you! So cute!

  17. Kimi on December 26, 2008 at 5:44 pm

Although I don’t really know you, so maybe I should say the pic is an accurate representation of my impression of you :-)

  18. Rachel on December 26, 2008 at 6:43 pm

Oh my…That is quite the argyle collections. What is it that they say? No two argyle sweaters are alike! LOL

  19. Xi_Heather on December 26, 2008 at 6:56 pm

I heard of Big Bang Theory — doesn’t it have math in it? Who wouldn’t love that?

Were the argyle sweaters all from one person (like your Mom) or from 5 different people?

  20. adam on December 26, 2008 at 7:40 pm

I love that [at least] 4 of your sweaters bear the same brand’s sticker. Did someone buy one of each argyle style at the same store?

  21. Craig on December 26, 2008 at 7:42 pm

My Mom bought all of the argyle sweaters and the four with the same stickers are from Target, which is where most of my other argyles are from.

  22. Chris on December 26, 2008 at 7:57 pm

Nice gifts Craig. I like the sweaters and shirts. You are such a snazzy dresser. :) The dominate theme of my gifts this year was power tools. Woohoo! Now I can make all kinds of awesome cross cuts, plunge cuts and drill holes like crazy! I also got a Torchwood book with behind the scenes info and short stories!

  23. adam on December 26, 2008 at 10:10 pm

yay! target! i love target! :)

  24. polt on December 27, 2008 at 8:11 am

Chris: A Torchwood book, you say??? Sweet! What’s it called? Sounds like something I’d be interested in! :)

    HUGS…

  25. Chris on December 27, 2008 at 3:19 pm

Polt: The book is called _Torchwood the official magazine yearbook_. It has lots of photos, some behind the scenes info and some short stories. I guess it is stuff from the magazine.

  26. Hayden on December 27, 2008 at 3:19 pm

Any chance of sharing some of that argyle?

  27. Will on December 28, 2008 at 10:05 am

I guess we don’t have to worry about you staying warm. :P
