Baby it’s Cold Outside

Posting this video has become a bit of a tradition here on Puntabulous, seeing as though this is the third year in a row I’m posting it, but I just love it that much. And originality was never my strong suit. Enjoy!

Isn’t date rape hysterical?

Reminds me of my Jeffrey Dahmer Christmases of the past. Ahh, Good Times!

I was thinking of this video last night, as the family was driving around looking at Christmas lights, and the Dolly Parton – Rod Stewart version of this song came on the radio. (*shudder*)

(Just checked — yes, that version is up on YouTube. Searching for it helped me correct my note: it was Dolly Parton, not Phyllis Diller as I’d originally typed.)

Date rape, not so funny; this video, hysterical! :)

    Stay warm, Craiggers.

    HUGS…

I suppose next year will feature a Christmas video about incest?

I showed this video to a colleague at work. She found it quite disturbing when she really thought about the lyrics, however I found her humming the song repeatedly over the next few days. Thing is ear-wormy in the extreme but the video is funny.

TwoPi: Rod Stewart and Dolly Parton!? That’s quite the combo and I’m not liking the images in my head right now.

Tam: I think my subconscious attempt to have Phyllis singing with Rod was an act of mercy.

TwoPi: Maybe Phyllis and Dollly would be more appropriate, or maybe not, but funnier I think.

I do like the Tom Jones version of this song, but other versions don’t make the cut. This video, however, is pretty damn funny.

that video is fantastic! I wonder how many other songs with equally disturbing lyrics we can find? I’m reminded of “Vehicle” which always reminds me of a song that kidnapping child molester would sing:
“Well I’m the friendly stranger in the black sedan
Oh won’t you hop inside my car
I got pictures, candy, I am a lovable man
I’d like to take you to the nearest star”

FDot, it’s not Christmassy, but the country song “Who’s your Daddy?” by Toby Keith has always struck me as disturbing in that regard.

Tam, I think that Phyllis and Dolly would certainly be funnier. Or scarier. Something like that.

(Reminds me a bit of a postcard I sent TwoPi years ago, with a drawing of a person and the caption “Salvador Dali Parton”. Picture the mustouche of one and the big wig of the other.)

Hey, that’s pretty awesome. I only started watching The Soup since Joel McHale. Or about a year ago. Something like that. So it’s weird to see Mankini being creepy. Or in anything other than a bikini, for that matter.

Can anyone come up with the modern day rap version for this song?

My favorite part is the hair sniff …

One question though, how the hell did they film at my place without me knowing?
