Well lookie here! Yours Truly is this week’s Blogger of the Week on HX.com. And goodness me, they just happened to use that silly shirtless pic of me that I may or may not have supplied to them. Head on over there and check it out! Thanks to Chris D. for saying such kind words!
On weeks where I post something that took me all weekend to create (such as the Starship Puntabulous post) I can never seem to muster up the energy to maintain regular posting during the week. So in an uncharacteristically lazy fashion, I present you with a bit of conversation I had last night with my friend Jon. We were talking about the different check boxes you can pick to display your interests on your Manhunt profile:
Jon: and also what is FF… Craig: fist fucking Craig: ::shudders:: Jon: oh thattttt Jon: yeah totally, love it Jon: ewwwww Craig: seriously, what is the point of it? Jon: i dont even understand how you make it to the point where anything smaller then a fist just wont do it for you Craig: hahaha, yeah, I mean, so regular fucking is just kinda blah? Jon: can you even? Jon: wouldnt it just kinda hang out in the middle wondering why its so windy Craig: LOL Jon: err, i cant even think about it Craig: and what does the fister get out ot if? Craig: hand orgasm? Jon: hmm, never thought about that Craig: I mean, obviously they must enjoy doing it too Jon: maybe they just like knowing that shortly thereafter they are going to get fisted Craig: I just don’t think I could ever say “damn, I love the way your ass feels around my wrist”
Sorry for my laziness today, but I trust my wonderful readers will take this deranged topic and run with it. You guys are totally perverted after all. Oh wait, I was the one talking about fisting. Whatever.
So I’m following Adrienne Pierce on twitter and she replied to one of my tweets, which I’m pretty sure makes us BFFs. She’s a great singer songwriter who sings one of my favorite songs ever called Lost and Found. Take a listen below, and while you’re at it, relive those great Veronica Mars memories (with French subtitles! LOL @ “Le surf?” Oh Logan, how I miss you!):
Here’s her official site, and you can download her album on iTunes also, which I think you should do as soon as possible.
Welcome aboard the Starship Puntabulous! Its continuing mission, to seek out new life and sexy civilizations. Feel free to take a look around the ship. Some of the faces may look familiar, and hopefully they do because they’re all you guys. Each character in the panels below is specifically modeled after frequent readers and commenters. There’s a key at the end if you need help telling who is who, or maybe even help finding yourself, because I’m not that great of an artist, and there aren’t too many ways to distinguish a guy with brown hair using MSPaint. I got as many of you as I could. Sorry if I left anyone out!

I’m pleased to premiere the poster for the “As the Night the Day” series of The Adventures of Super Viagra and Vagina Girl (You can read Parts One, Two, and Three):
You would have gotten a new installment instead of just the poster, but Starship Puntabulous has taken all of my free time. Big thanks to Dave S. for working his photoshop magic!
Okay so I took this picture with my camera phone last night while we were stopped at a red light. Let me know if you spot anything weird about it. My answer is below the picture, so don’t read it until you take a good gander:
Doesn’t the license plate look like PENIS? I had to do a double take. It’s actually 9EN45, which looks considerably less like PENIS, but I think if you squint your eyes real hard and the light hits your monitor just right, you might still be able to see it.
Okay so my friends Meg and Rachel are writing a book called The Happy Book, and it’s all about what makes people happy. It will be an interactive space for readers to write, list, doodle, paste, and so on about what makes them happy. As part of this, there will also be several lists throughout the book that feature handwritten compilations of one-liners from people they know, listing one random thing that makes them happy. I happily (naturally) submitted what makes me happy and it landed on the cover. Check it out!
Click to enlarge! The book will be published by Sourcebooks in November 2009, and I’ll be sure to let you guys know when it’s available for preorder, because you obviously need a copy of this!
Okay so the project I work for is getting shut down and I’ll most likely be out a job in a few months. So I need to start weighing my options for future lines of work. So far this is all I could come up with:
So I finished Batman: The Long Halloween yesterday, which is another graphic novel Polt got me. Like The Dark Knight Returns, it was chock full Batman characters that I’ve been familiar with from other mediums. But unlike The Dark Knight Returns it had a solid story driving the book along. The book is essentially a mystery novel that kept me guessing the entire time up until the very end where they threw me for another loop.
I really liked seeing the comic inspiration for the gangster characters we saw in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight movies as well as some of the minor villains like Scarecrow and Mad Hatter. I read somewhere that this book was a big inspiration for the two movies, and it really shows. I was also really glad to see Catwoman in a bigger role than I’ve seen before. Her character is so much fun, I wish they could have gotten her right in the Catwoman movie.
The artwork is also really fantastic. It’s amazing how every graphic novel I’ve read (all four of them) Watchmen, The Dark Knight Returns, Kingdom Come, and now The Long Halloween have had totally different styles of artwork. This one seemed inspired by anime (remember when anime used to be called japanimation?) and I loved it. So yeah, I totally recommend this for anyone who enjoyed the movies and is looking for a good book to read.
Now I’m reading Star Wars: Outcast, which is the first non-graphic novel I’ve read in a few months. Let me know which graphic novels I should read next!
