This guest post comes to use from the lovely and talented Michelle M. The creator of Master Bader and all around genius, she really needs a blog of her own to share her amazingness with the rest of the world.
Who can take a website,
A topic or review,
Wrap them up in argyle and a laugh out loud or two?

Puntabulous.

Puntabulous can.

Puntabulous can cause he mixes it with love and makes us all feel good.

Who can take a bunny,
Evil to the core,
Keep it sick and twisted so that we come back for more?

Puntabulous.

Puntabulous can.

Puntabulous can cause he mixes it with love and makes us all feel good.

He’ll go that extra mile,
To make his monkeys smile,
Good, dorky fun is such a high.
You’ll believe a pill can fly.
Craig is such an awesome guy.

Who can write a story
And teach us something too,
Debate his opposition with great wit and derring do?

Puntabulous.

Puntabulous can.

Puntabulous can cause he mixes it with love and makes us all feel good.

And we feel good cause Puntabulous thinks we should.

Brilliant Michelle. Craig on the unicorn is classic and love the spinning Super Viagra. However those Oompa Loompas in that last pic are going to be giving me nightmares. Amazing job.
May 8th, 2009 at 7:12 am
Michelle! That was amazing! And funny! And sentimental! And totally true!
Fantastic images.
The one with Craig as a golden-egg-carrying Oompa Loompa is hilarious. Awesome.
After both this and your guest post over at Polt’s Palace, we’re *all* going to want you as a guest poster!
May 8th, 2009 at 7:32 am
After this and what she did at the Palace, we’re all going to push her to get her OWN blog. Even if she only posts once a week on it, just imagine how awesome it would be read these things on a more regular basis!
Outstanding as always Michelle. Truly hilarious. And I’ll be singing that song, with the Puntabulous lyrics, all day long!
HUGS…
May 8th, 2009 at 7:40 am
Polt: That damn tune is already stuck in my head! And I hate that song! Though Michell’s rendition makes it *so* much better.
May 8th, 2009 at 7:41 am
BWAAA! I don’t know what you people were looking at but Craig as Veruca Salt was f*cking GENIUS!
Michelle M.: You are my hero!
May 8th, 2009 at 8:05 am
That’s Veruca? I was wondering why Little Orphan Annie had suddenly appeared in the scene.
Genius, Michelle M. Genius.
May 8th, 2009 at 8:49 am
Xi_Heather: Ha! I thought the same thing until I saw the “Good/Bad” indicator behind her.
Hilarious.
May 8th, 2009 at 9:28 am
I guess you dont realize what dorky faces you make until you see them superimposed on another’s body…
May 8th, 2009 at 9:37 am
Awesome!
May 8th, 2009 at 9:53 am
I’m with Tam. The song is brilliant. Those Oompa Loompas scare me.
May 8th, 2009 at 10:10 am
Craig’s tweet about manifest destiny makes me want to see his expedition’s heads photoshopped into Almost Heroes.
May 8th, 2009 at 10:23 am
This is great! Awesome work.
May 8th, 2009 at 12:04 pm
Its quiet here today. Craig’s run away to play and we’re all like little mice.
Umm. Since this is about Willy Wonka … Did people hate or love the new Willy Wonka with Johnny Depp? I fell in the loved it camp. I know it seems like people either loved it or hated it, not much middle ground. That song, when the dolls start burning and melting, my daughter and I kill ourselves laughing. The only thing I didn’t love was that all the Oompa Loompas were the same. In the book they were all individual and I think that was kind of lazy to just use one guy and CGI him numerous times. But the rest I quite enjoyed.
Let the debate begin: Gene Wilder (brilliant in his own right) vs Johnny Depp (hotter than Gene Wilder ever dreamed of being).
May 8th, 2009 at 12:13 pm
YES!!! Craig as Veruca was AMAZING.
As I’ve mentioned on my own blog, Veruca was my idol/role model when I was a child!! (And yes, I was a brat.)
My brother and I had two tapes when we were young: Willy Wonka and The Jetson’s Movie. And we just watched those two over and over.
I think I’ve seriously seen WW over 100 times so I loved this post.
Oh, and NO competiton–the Gene Wilder version (of both Willy Wonka the character, and the entire movie) is SO much better. Hello, there’s MUSIC! And not just those crazy, scary Oompa-Loompa songs, but good music. “I Want It Now” is the best!
Can you tell WW excites me? lol.
May 8th, 2009 at 12:22 pm
Tam: Quiet over my way too. :-/
I really liked the new Willy Wonka. I never ever liked the Gene Wilder version. It was just too damn creepy.
May 8th, 2009 at 12:59 pm
Tam: I haven’t seen the new version, so I don’t have an opinion on it.
May 8th, 2009 at 1:38 pm
Enrico: What do you mean you *were* a brat?
I didn’t hate the Johnny Depp version, but the Gene Wilder version is the better of the two.
Since Craig isn’t here, should we take this opportunity to talk about him?
May 8th, 2009 at 1:40 pm
john: Maybe we should continue to photoshop his head onto people’s bodies for humorous effect.
May 8th, 2009 at 1:42 pm
Make up an opinion Ryan. Knowing about something isn’t a requirement for having an opinion on the inernet.
Talk about Craig huh John? Did you know he didn’t seem as tall as I expected? Considering how short I am and how tall he is. That was odd. Maybe he’s lying to us about his height.
May 8th, 2009 at 1:47 pm
Tam: In that case, I found the translations of the Oompa-Loompa songs into Klingon to be a bit . . . esoteric. I also felt that it was a bit cliche to have the butler be the murderer. However, the CGI helicopter chase through the London Underground was impressive.
May 8th, 2009 at 2:01 pm
Well done Ryan. Well done. You could get your own talk show on Fox knowing so much about absolutely nothing.
May 8th, 2009 at 2:06 pm
Cupcake: Oooo, the Photoshopping his head on to other people…..that could be fun! Good idea!
Tam: Ooo, now we are getting the dirt! Given how short you say you are, I would have thought the opposite.
May 8th, 2009 at 2:08 pm
Tam: I think that I would have to add something about socialism to get a show.
Is Willie Wonka a communist dictator or a capitalist robber baron? I need to know how to spin it.
May 8th, 2009 at 2:24 pm
John: I know. It was odd. Maybe he was just hunching down to make me feel better.
Ryan: I’d have to say communist dictator. He kept those Oompa Loompas locked up in that factory with no freedom, they worked 24/7, all dressed the same in the unform of the people while Wonka was dressed in velvet and fine clothes. So go for the communist dictator angle. I think it would go over well.
May 8th, 2009 at 2:29 pm
Michelle M rises to the challenge once again!
May 8th, 2009 at 2:35 pm
Hayden: And sets the bar ridiculously high!
May 8th, 2009 at 2:38 pm
John:
As for photoshopping his head on peeps, that sounds like great fun…. But I’m not at school and therefore don’t have my roommate’s computer and therefore don’t have photoshop! It’s very sad.
May 8th, 2009 at 2:40 pm
Tam: I think I should go with the capitalist angle. Wonka is a successful businessman.
Enrico: You can cut and paste heads in gimp, too.
May 8th, 2009 at 2:59 pm
In the penultimate (”punt-ultimate”?) photo, don’t'cha think Craig looks great with Gene Wilder’s hair?
(For the record, I loved the old film, but surprised myself by enjoying the new. Johnny Depp sure has changed since 21 Jump St.)
Oh, and Michelle M continues to amaze.
May 8th, 2009 at 3:38 pm
This is the longest afternoon of my life. Its not even 4:00. Godddddd! I am so ready to be out of here.
May 8th, 2009 at 3:56 pm
Thanks for the kind words, everyone!
Dave – I already have a post in mind for you. Now you just have to go away : ).
Craig has such a multitude of fun expressions to choose from. And I do so enjoy cutting off heads. Maybe I was Joseph-Ignace Guillotin in a past life. Or Lizzie Borden…
May 8th, 2009 at 3:58 pm
Oh yeah, I think the Gene Wilder version is perfection. I was so resistant to the remake I fell asleep while watching it. To be fair, I should give it another chance. Maybe.
May 8th, 2009 at 4:07 pm
Tam: It’s 1:00 on a Friday afternoon after a week of trying to find productive things to do while waiting for other things to finish. It’s going to be a long afternoon for me, too.
May 8th, 2009 at 4:14 pm
Ryan: Hurry up and wait. The worst. I’m out of here at 4:30 on the dot today. At least that’s the plan. We are under a thunderstorm watch so some mojo that I don’t get struck by lightning walking over the hill to my car would be appreciated. That would suck as a way to start the weekend.
May 8th, 2009 at 4:28 pm
Enrico: I’m sure your post will be creative, fun and adorable.
Two-Pi: ”punt-ultimate”! That’s great and yes,Craig looks great with Gene Wilder’s hair.
Tam: I’ve been saying “is it 5 damn o’clock yet?” all afternoon. And it still isn’t for me…..
May 8th, 2009 at 4:30 pm
Tam has left the building.
May 8th, 2009 at 5:00 pm
Tam: Was I shorted than you expected? If so, maybe your height perception (?) is just off?
And Tam: awesome comment about Faux News channel, especially coming from a foriegner! Way to go!
And Enrickyricardo, I agree with you: after this, I’m kinda worried about my guest post.
I at least saved Michelle M.’s for the last (well, except for yours, but we couldn’t do TMI Tuesdays before Tuesday, now could we?) day. Go out with a bang, my pappy always used to say.
Tough act to follow indeed…
HUGS….
May 8th, 2009 at 5:29 pm
Superfantastic, Michelle! You’re a creative wonder. And I am loving the Craig/Unicorn photo!
May 8th, 2009 at 5:49 pm
Polt: No actually you were as tall as I expected. You were pretty tall.
I am home. I did indeed leave at 4:30. Well, first I made a quick stop at the little girl’s room and then I had to try and explain to our admin assistant who Bowling for Soup are. “Check on youtube, you’ll find them there.” But no rain, seems I missed it. Yay.
I am going out for dinner in half an hour. With a bunch of other mother’s from my daughter’s school. Not real thrilled but I suppose if I want to put my 2 cents in on the event I have to suck it up and be social with the supermom’s. Not sure my 2 cents will be appreciated but I’ll try.
May 8th, 2009 at 5:55 pm
Michelle: Awesome!!! You really should start your own Blog.
Polt: Now I know the secret behind my fascination with Tam.. She has that “foreign” mystique.
May 8th, 2009 at 6:01 pm
Mark: You’d probably find my accent adorable too although as I pointed out to Polt I don’t HAVE an accent, however he does.
May 8th, 2009 at 6:05 pm
Tam: Coming from Minnesota, my accent apparently partially resembles a Canadian accent.
May 8th, 2009 at 6:09 pm
Ryan: You can’t have an accent that doesn’t exist.
But growing up in Manitoba you and I probably sound the same pretty much.
May 8th, 2009 at 6:09 pm
Ryan: Ummm, well, I mean your voice is probably deeper. Nothing personal.
May 8th, 2009 at 6:22 pm
Tam: Dave S. pointed out the same thing to me. But he was wrong, everyone else has an accent.
May 8th, 2009 at 6:45 pm
Craig: I’m glad you landed Totally….considering the options.
May 8th, 2009 at 7:29 pm
Yay, Craiggers is safely in Cali!
Mark: from Virginia, right? Yeah, you got an accent, and I haven’t even heard you talk.
Tam, I think Craiggers is taller than I am. Or so he claims…..
Ryan: I knew a girl from Bimiji Minnesota! LOVED her accent. Made me laugh. It was a funny one, unlike Tam’s accent, which is just cute.
HUGS…
May 8th, 2009 at 7:46 pm
Polt: Since Virginia is the first “permanent” settlement, ie: Jamestown, I would say that everyone else has the accent. And since I am 1/4 Cheroenhaka indian, I would argue that everyone who speaks english or spanish, has an accent.
By the way, the Cheroenhaka tribe is not Federally recognized as an indigenous tribe to this day! Even though the oral history goes back hundreds of years. Hopefully that will be changed soon.
May 8th, 2009 at 7:53 pm
Craig: You do realize that you’re in NorCal, not SoCol?
Polt: As I grew up in southern Minnesota, my accent is probably not as thick.
May 8th, 2009 at 8:03 pm
Ryan: “Southern Minnesota”? Does that mean you don’t say “Oh My”, or “Don’t ya know” ? Oh wait, that’s Wisconsin. Sorry, got my geography mixed up.
May 8th, 2009 at 8:41 pm
Survived my dinner.
Dave S. HAS an accent although its pretty slight.
May 8th, 2009 at 8:47 pm
My Minnesota story:
I grew up in California (but not where Craig is right now — that’s TwoPi territory) and decided to go to college in Minnesota. When I told people, the most common question (after “Why?”) was “Where is Minnesota?” I would answer “Near Canada” and that seemed to satisfy everyone.
Never had lutefisk, though. Ryan, have you partaken?
May 8th, 2009 at 8:54 pm
Great job Michelle! I love how well all the expressions seem to fit the photos.
May 8th, 2009 at 8:54 pm
I’ve been to Bemiji and Minneapolis (BM – Before the Mall). It was nothing to write home about. Maybe if I’d been to the mall. Isn’t Rose from Golden Girls the most famous Minnesotan or maybe Jesse Ventura I guess. No Rose, definitely Rose.
May 8th, 2009 at 9:03 pm
Xi_Heather: I may be 1/4 Norwegian, but yuck. I prefer lefse and krumkake as expressions of my heritage.
Mark: No Don’t ya know’s or You bet ya’s, either.
May 8th, 2009 at 9:05 pm
Minneapolis! The only US city I’ve been in that isn’t in NJ/NY/PA! lol.
Aww. Rose. I love her. And thinking of the Golden Girls now always makes me sad since half of them aren’t around anymore.
May 8th, 2009 at 9:08 pm
Rose went to college in the same town as me.
May 8th, 2009 at 9:17 pm
Xi_Heather: My Spanish teacher in high school wanted me to go to your college.
May 8th, 2009 at 9:21 pm
Mark: you said ‘oral history’….*snicker*….
Tam: You’ve BEEN to Bimiji? My God, why? did you get lost? Crimeny, if you’ve been there, you might as well come visit me in Waynesboro. According to my friend, Waynesboro ROCKS when compared to Bimiji. And knowing my town as I do, that’s why I have such a low opinion of Bimiji.
Enrickyricardo: You’ve been to PA, eh? You get further west than Harrisburg? That’s kinda my territory…well, south west of Harrisburg.
I’d say Al Franken is a pretty famous Minnesotan…but I actually never knew he was Minnesota until last year. So, yeah, I’ll go with Rose Nyland.
From Waynesboro, we got nobody. Oh, a girl a few years ahead of me in high school ended up as a backup dancer in a Billy Idiol video…about twenty years ago. And a kid the year behind me in school went onto to be sports reporter at the local TV station. Course, he’s only famous for saying ‘cunt’ live on the air. BY accident of course. And so, yeah, that’s about it.
I wonder if Craiggers has adjusted to the time difference yet?
HUGS…
May 8th, 2009 at 9:22 pm
Enrico: I visited the NY/NJ/PA area for the first time this year. Although Pittsburgh may be a stretch to call part of that area.
May 8th, 2009 at 9:26 pm
Polt: My hometown apparently got on the Today show last week after it was evacuated due to a fire at the meat processing plant.
May 8th, 2009 at 9:30 pm
Actually it was more like last month.
May 8th, 2009 at 9:32 pm
Polt: I was 14 camping in Bemiji with my aunt and uncle. Not really my choice but it beat hanging out at home and doing garden work.
You have the coolest people from Waynesboro. After all, you are from there. There is NO ONE famous from my hick town.
I’ve never been to PA, this summer. Definitely Pittsburgh because my daughter has to make the teen girl pilgrimage to the home arena of Sidney Crosby. The only part of NJ I’ve been in was Newark Airport. Probably enough from what I hear. (I kid, I kid)
May 8th, 2009 at 9:38 pm
Tam: If you are in downtown Pittsburgh, the only reason to walk across the river is to watch a Pirates game. I don’t care if someone’s iPhone says differently.
May 8th, 2009 at 9:42 pm
Ryan: I’ve never been to a professional baseball game. Only sport I suppose I haven’t seen live. Well, NFL, but I’ve been to tons of CFL which is almost the same. Yeah, hockey is more our thing. Classic Canadians.
I have no idea what there is to see and do in Pittsburgh. Should probably do some research because I think driving by the hockey arena should take about 10 min. Then what?
May 8th, 2009 at 9:51 pm
Tam: We didn’t have much time to do much other than go to conference talks, practice conference talks, walk around looking for something to eat, and eat.
May 8th, 2009 at 9:54 pm
Polt: Nope, just Philly. And as for NY, I’ve only been to New York City. So yeah, I’m very limited in my travel experience. Which is one reason why I was so excited for Mexico last winter.
Tam: NJ is amazing. You just probably hear about bad places like Camden and Newark. My town is beautiful! And apparently Atlantic City is fun.
Ryan: A little bit of a stretch. lol. You haven’t been to NYC?
May 8th, 2009 at 10:08 pm
Enrico: I haven’t had a reason to get to the Northeast yet. I tend not to go on vacation now that I have outgrown family vacations. I think the only place I went to just for fun was Thunder Bay with friends.
However, I’ve still been able to get to Minneapolis/St. Paul, Milwaukee, Chicago, Denver, Houston, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Orlando, Dublin, Salt Lake City, Detroit, La Havana, San Jose – Costa Rica, Tampa Bay, and other places I don’t recall offhand.
May 8th, 2009 at 10:14 pm
Thunder Bay for fun? What the hell kind of oxymoron is that Ryan?
I live to travel. I can’t imagine NOT going on vacation and not with family. Although I enjoy being with my parents I prefer to travel with my daughter or even alone. Thankfully work lets me go a few places depending on the job. I don’t own a house. Why? Because every spare cent I get is spent on an airplane ticket or hotel room or something like that.
May 8th, 2009 at 10:34 pm
Tam: There are only so many places you can drive to from the Twin Cities during a three day weekend, and only one has a lower drinking age.
I think that I will travel more once I get a real job.
May 8th, 2009 at 10:38 pm
Ryan: You’re just a baby. You’ll have lots of time to travel. You never went to the exciting city of Winnipeg? Drinking age there was 18, better than Ontario. But farther, not sure, 6 or 7 hours I think.
May 8th, 2009 at 10:45 pm
Tam: The youngest was 19, so that wasn’t an issue.
This was also with my campus ministry friends. When we went to church on Sunday, we discovered that a group of seminarians from our university was there at the last one. Apparently, they were thinking along the same lines as we were.
May 8th, 2009 at 11:10 pm
WOW!! Awesome!!
May 8th, 2009 at 11:15 pm
Star Trek puzzle:
http://www.afterelton.com/blog/snicks/afterelton-puzzler-where-no-man-has-gone-before
May 9th, 2009 at 8:18 am
Ryan: you said meat packing…*snicker*….
Tam: I’ve never been to Pittsburgh, but I understand Liberty Avenue, the gayborhood, is quite nice.
I work with a guy from Pittsburgh, I’ll see what he has to say.
When i was growing up WestVirginia had a drinking age of I think 18…man, we made many a trip across two state lines to get that stuff. And then, when I hit 19, they raised it to 21. Bastards.
HUGS…
May 10th, 2009 at 9:46 am
Alright, we understand that Puntabulous can…. now where’s my guest post? lol
May 10th, 2009 at 11:11 am
I love to ode to Willy Wonka!
May 10th, 2009 at 12:31 pm
Enrickyricardo, I think Craiggers is having SO MUCH fun, he’s forgotten to post his other guest posts.
Look at the bright, at least he SHOULD have a ton of awesome stories and photos upon his return.
HUGS…
May 10th, 2009 at 2:38 pm
Sorry kids. I didn’t get enough guest posts for the weekend. Enrico, Polt, and Tam will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
May 10th, 2009 at 7:25 pm
Xi-Heather and I had brainstormed ideas for a guest post (either something on earthquakes, or perhaps the history of Mother’s Day), but reality intervened and sprang a surprisingly busy and unmanageable week on us, so in the end we punted.
For those desperate for internet goodies, I offer this image, which has had me joyously happy for most of the day:
May 10th, 2009 at 7:26 pm
Dang html tag demon! Here’s a link to the aforementioned image:

TwoPi – loves it!
I wish I had known there were some extra guest post days – I have extra Craig heads and know just where to paste them… ! It would be a Michabulous weekend! AHahahaha!
