Brilliant Michelle. Craig on the unicorn is classic and love the spinning Super Viagra. However those Oompa Loompas in that last pic are going to be giving me nightmares. Amazing job.

  2. Michelle! That was amazing! And funny! And sentimental! And totally true!

Fantastic images. :-) The one with Craig as a golden-egg-carrying Oompa Loompa is hilarious. Awesome.

After both this and your guest post over at Polt’s Palace, we’re *all* going to want you as a guest poster!

  3. After this and what she did at the Palace, we’re all going to push her to get her OWN blog. Even if she only posts once a week on it, just imagine how awesome it would be read these things on a more regular basis! :)

Outstanding as always Michelle. Truly hilarious. And I’ll be singing that song, with the Puntabulous lyrics, all day long! :)

    HUGS…

  4. Polt: That damn tune is already stuck in my head! And I hate that song! Though Michell’s rendition makes it *so* much better. :-)

  5. john

BWAAA! I don’t know what you people were looking at but Craig as Veruca Salt was f*cking GENIUS!

Michelle M.: You are my hero!

  6. That’s Veruca? I was wondering why Little Orphan Annie had suddenly appeared in the scene.

    Genius, Michelle M. Genius.

  7. Xi_Heather: Ha! I thought the same thing until I saw the “Good/Bad” indicator behind her. :-) Hilarious.

  8. GoKitty

I guess you dont realize what dorky faces you make until you see them superimposed on another’s body…

  9. The Ryan with the Cupcake

I’m with Tam. The song is brilliant. Those Oompa Loompas scare me.

  10. The Ryan with the Cupcake

Craig’s tweet about manifest destiny makes me want to see his expedition’s heads photoshopped into Almost Heroes.

  11. This is great! Awesome work.

  12. Tam

Its quiet here today. Craig’s run away to play and we’re all like little mice.

Umm. Since this is about Willy Wonka … Did people hate or love the new Willy Wonka with Johnny Depp? I fell in the loved it camp. I know it seems like people either loved it or hated it, not much middle ground. That song, when the dolls start burning and melting, my daughter and I kill ourselves laughing. The only thing I didn’t love was that all the Oompa Loompas were the same. In the book they were all individual and I think that was kind of lazy to just use one guy and CGI him numerous times. But the rest I quite enjoyed.

Let the debate begin: Gene Wilder (brilliant in his own right) vs Johnny Depp (hotter than Gene Wilder ever dreamed of being).

  13. YES!!! Craig as Veruca was AMAZING.
As I’ve mentioned on my own blog, Veruca was my idol/role model when I was a child!! (And yes, I was a brat.)
My brother and I had two tapes when we were young: Willy Wonka and The Jetson’s Movie. And we just watched those two over and over.
I think I’ve seriously seen WW over 100 times so I loved this post.

Oh, and NO competiton–the Gene Wilder version (of both Willy Wonka the character, and the entire movie) is SO much better. Hello, there’s MUSIC! And not just those crazy, scary Oompa-Loompa songs, but good music. “I Want It Now” is the best!

Can you tell WW excites me? lol.

  14. Tam: Quiet over my way too. :-/

I really liked the new Willy Wonka. I never ever liked the Gene Wilder version. It was just too damn creepy.

  15. The Ryan with the Cupcake

Tam: I haven’t seen the new version, so I don’t have an opinion on it.

  16. john

Enrico: What do you mean you *were* a brat?

I didn’t hate the Johnny Depp version, but the Gene Wilder version is the better of the two.

Since Craig isn’t here, should we take this opportunity to talk about him?

  17. The Ryan with the Cupcake

john: Maybe we should continue to photoshop his head onto people’s bodies for humorous effect.

  18. Tam

Make up an opinion Ryan. Knowing about something isn’t a requirement for having an opinion on the inernet.

Talk about Craig huh John? Did you know he didn’t seem as tall as I expected? Considering how short I am and how tall he is. That was odd. Maybe he’s lying to us about his height.

  19. The Ryan with the Cupcake

Tam: In that case, I found the translations of the Oompa-Loompa songs into Klingon to be a bit . . . esoteric. I also felt that it was a bit cliche to have the butler be the murderer. However, the CGI helicopter chase through the London Underground was impressive.

  20. Tam

Well done Ryan. Well done. You could get your own talk show on Fox knowing so much about absolutely nothing.

  21. john

Cupcake: Oooo, the Photoshopping his head on to other people…..that could be fun! Good idea!

Tam: Ooo, now we are getting the dirt! Given how short you say you are, I would have thought the opposite.

  22. The Ryan with the Cupcake

Tam: I think that I would have to add something about socialism to get a show.

Is Willie Wonka a communist dictator or a capitalist robber baron? I need to know how to spin it.

  23. Tam

John: I know. It was odd. Maybe he was just hunching down to make me feel better.

Ryan: I’d have to say communist dictator. He kept those Oompa Loompas locked up in that factory with no freedom, they worked 24/7, all dressed the same in the unform of the people while Wonka was dressed in velvet and fine clothes. So go for the communist dictator angle. I think it would go over well.

  24. hayden

Michelle M rises to the challenge once again!

  25. john

Hayden: And sets the bar ridiculously high!

  26. John: :(

As for photoshopping his head on peeps, that sounds like great fun…. But I’m not at school and therefore don’t have my roommate’s computer and therefore don’t have photoshop! It’s very sad.

  27. The Ryan with the Cupcake

Tam: I think I should go with the capitalist angle. Wonka is a successful businessman.

Enrico: You can cut and paste heads in gimp, too.

  28. In the penultimate (“punt-ultimate”?) photo, don’t'cha think Craig looks great with Gene Wilder’s hair?

(For the record, I loved the old film, but surprised myself by enjoying the new. Johnny Depp sure has changed since 21 Jump St.)

Oh, and Michelle M continues to amaze.

  29. Tam

This is the longest afternoon of my life. Its not even 4:00. Godddddd! I am so ready to be out of here.

  30. Michelle M.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Dave – I already have a post in mind for you. Now you just have to go away : ).

Craig has such a multitude of fun expressions to choose from. And I do so enjoy cutting off heads. Maybe I was Joseph-Ignace Guillotin in a past life. Or Lizzie Borden…

  31. Michelle M.

Oh yeah, I think the Gene Wilder version is perfection. I was so resistant to the remake I fell asleep while watching it. To be fair, I should give it another chance. Maybe.

  32. The Ryan with the Cupcake

Tam: It’s 1:00 on a Friday afternoon after a week of trying to find productive things to do while waiting for other things to finish. It’s going to be a long afternoon for me, too.

  33. Tam

Ryan: Hurry up and wait. The worst. I’m out of here at 4:30 on the dot today. At least that’s the plan. We are under a thunderstorm watch so some mojo that I don’t get struck by lightning walking over the hill to my car would be appreciated. That would suck as a way to start the weekend.

  34. john

Enrico: I’m sure your post will be creative, fun and adorable.

    Two-Pi: ”punt-ultimate”! That’s great and yes,Craig looks great with Gene Wilder’s hair.

Tam: I’ve been saying “is it 5 damn o’clock yet?” all afternoon. And it still isn’t for me…..

  35. The Ryan with the Cupcake

    Tam has left the building.

  36. Tam: Was I shorted than you expected? If so, maybe your height perception (?) is just off?

And Tam: awesome comment about Faux News channel, especially coming from a foriegner! Way to go! :)

And Enrickyricardo, I agree with you: after this, I’m kinda worried about my guest post. :) I at least saved Michelle M.’s for the last (well, except for yours, but we couldn’t do TMI Tuesdays before Tuesday, now could we?) day. Go out with a bang, my pappy always used to say.

    Tough act to follow indeed…

    HUGS….

  37. Ray

Superfantastic, Michelle! You’re a creative wonder. And I am loving the Craig/Unicorn photo!

  38. Tam

Polt: No actually you were as tall as I expected. You were pretty tall.

I am home. I did indeed leave at 4:30. Well, first I made a quick stop at the little girl’s room and then I had to try and explain to our admin assistant who Bowling for Soup are. “Check on youtube, you’ll find them there.” But no rain, seems I missed it. Yay.

I am going out for dinner in half an hour. With a bunch of other mother’s from my daughter’s school. Not real thrilled but I suppose if I want to put my 2 cents in on the event I have to suck it up and be social with the supermom’s. Not sure my 2 cents will be appreciated but I’ll try.

  39. Mark

Michelle: Awesome!!! You really should start your own Blog.

Polt: Now I know the secret behind my fascination with Tam.. She has that “foreign” mystique. ;-)

  40. Tam

Mark: You’d probably find my accent adorable too although as I pointed out to Polt I don’t HAVE an accent, however he does. :-P

  41. The Ryan with the Cupcake

Tam: Coming from Minnesota, my accent apparently partially resembles a Canadian accent.

  42. Tam

Ryan: You can’t have an accent that doesn’t exist. :-) But growing up in Manitoba you and I probably sound the same pretty much.

  43. Tam

Ryan: Ummm, well, I mean your voice is probably deeper. Nothing personal. :-P

  44. Mark

Tam: Dave S. pointed out the same thing to me. But he was wrong, everyone else has an accent.

  45. Mark

Craig: I’m glad you landed Totally….considering the options.

  46. Yay, Craiggers is safely in Cali!

Mark: from Virginia, right? Yeah, you got an accent, and I haven’t even heard you talk.

Tam, I think Craiggers is taller than I am. Or so he claims…..

Ryan: I knew a girl from Bimiji Minnesota! LOVED her accent. Made me laugh. It was a funny one, unlike Tam’s accent, which is just cute. :)

    HUGS…

  47. Mark

Polt: Since Virginia is the first “permanent” settlement, ie: Jamestown, I would say that everyone else has the accent. And since I am 1/4 Cheroenhaka indian, I would argue that everyone who speaks english or spanish, has an accent. :-)

By the way, the Cheroenhaka tribe is not Federally recognized as an indigenous tribe to this day! Even though the oral history goes back hundreds of years. Hopefully that will be changed soon.

  48. The Ryan with the Cupcake

Craig: You do realize that you’re in NorCal, not SoCol?

Polt: As I grew up in southern Minnesota, my accent is probably not as thick.

  49. Mark

Ryan: “Southern Minnesota”? Does that mean you don’t say “Oh My”, or “Don’t ya know” ? Oh wait, that’s Wisconsin. Sorry, got my geography mixed up. :-)
