I’d like to go on the record now and say that Shirin is gonna win this season of Project Runway. We’re having a Project Runway pool and we had to pick someone after the first episode and I picked her. She wasn’t one of the top designs, but she did this real cute dress/jacket combo and I just felt like being able to make a jacket in addition to her dress proved that she was pretty awesome. It also helps that she’s completely adorable. So I picked her. And then she won the second challenge! She wasn’t in the top tonight, but I’m sticking with my prediction. She’s SO gonna win the whole shebang!
Project Runway: Shirin is gonna Wirin!

I agree. I like her stuff so far. Last week’s outfit was adorable and tonight’s was my favorite of the bunch.
Last week hers was my favorite and she was great this week as well. I liked the back of Irina’s beachwear. The top of the Johnny’s avant-garde design reminded me of the potholders I made on one of those loom kits when I was a kid. I also liked Althea’s and the shape of Louise’s design. I think the right person was sent home this week.
Totally agree about Shirin. Adorable and very, very talented.
Heidi’s 3 strikes line was so apt. Bitchel had to go, what a talentless hack. In a few weeks we’ll probably have an article in the National Enquirer about how Bitchel conned his way into PR.
Last night’s winning dresses were straight from WTFville. What are those judges smoking? Stitching and stapling some neoprene into roughly the form of a dress is Avant-Garde? Bwahahahaha.
Bernd, you’re completely right!!! Holy hell, that judging was totally from bizarreville! Chaz and I were, like, what?!? Those were the top and bottom designs?! Cuh-freakin’-razy. And I thought the same thing about the potholders, Michelle! Hilarious.
And that so-called “winning” dress was just an ugly ugly ugly mess. It looked like a coffee-stained Snuggle in high heels. Yuck.
I *so* wanted to just punch Epperson and pull his pseudo-rastafarian dreads out of his head the entire episode. What a pompous ass.
Okay, I gotta concentrate on the cuteness of Christopher and Carol Hannah for a bit now — have to get my blood pressure down to a manageable level…
Mitchell had to go. He was just *way* out of his league and I’m not really sure how he got there to begin with. It was almost like he didn’t even really care about the competition and *knew* he wasn’t ever in a gahzillion years going to win it, so he was always, like, ‘meh’…
Dave S.: I totally agree about Epperson, I thought he was a complete dick most of the episode and I found myself wanting to send him home.
I don’t think Frankenstein (Mitchell) was without sewing skill, but he seemed to concerned with the social aspect of the show and being on tv.
The winning dress was redonkulous. I don’t get what they were going for at all. Oh, and is it just me or was Heidi totally surfing the crimson last night? She seemed extra bitchy.
john: You’re right — none of the judges seemed to be in good moods at all last night. Just kinda makes you wonder what was going on behind the scenes. All of them seemed to be just kind of out of it, like they didn’t want to really be there.
She’s awesome, but I think that Chris guy is an amazing talent as well. It’s hard to call this early.
I’m just so glad Mitchell is gone. His ass should have gone week 1!
Epperson and Quetzalcoatl both need to go home.
I really like Carol Hannah.
Mitchell was the only semi-attractive male on this season. Eh. Chris is OK. But there are no Ramis this season.
