Gossip Girl: An okay season I guess. Blair is easily the best part of the show. I feel like not much is really going on. Yeah, there’s drama here and there, but really, what’s the point? We need some solid storylines stat!
Heroes: I already gave you my thoughts.
90210: I’m sorry, but I really like this show. I love Silver and Adrianna. Even Annie is a lot better than last season. And Liam needs to get his act together because I want to really like him. The only things that bug me are 1. Teddy being ancient and supposed to be in high school. He’s 31! 2. Navid, what is your appeal? and 3. When will Naomi’s sister finally get her comeuppance?
America’s Next Top Model: This season is totally blah. I don’t even think Tyra cares about it. None of these girls are really very good. I’m sorry, but I think the under 5′7″ season was a bad idea! Nicole is probably the best, even though she is a wackadoo. And Sundai is pretty adorable!
Glee: Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Jane Lynch is pure genius. “Look at me. Even in the heat of battle, I am so elegant, regal.” I also love that everyone is a good singer. Quinn’s song this week was amazing. I love when the supporting characters get songs, like her and Mercedes. When are Puck and Kurt gonna get songs? A duet would be fantastic! Those two lovebirds are totally gonna get it on.
Modern Family: Regardless of the major gay face in the advertising, this is one of the funniest new sitcoms in a long time. Everyone is pitch perfect. The only one that annoys me is the husband of the blond woman, but I think that’s the point. Ed O’Neill is genius and so great to have back, and the gay couple played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet never fail to crack me up. “I gave her a gorgeous pair of diamond earrings, and she gave me a hint.”
Cougar Town: All the episodes are on my DVR, waiting to be watched. Anyone watching? How is it?
Survivor: This is an awful season. I can’t stand any of the people except Shambo, who gets treated like crap by everyone on her tribe. I couldn’t believe when she couldn’t participate in the reward last night. Why not make one of the people who sat out of the challenge miss out on the feast? Idiots. And Russell needs to go away immediately. I don’t know why reality show producers think we love villains. We don’t!
Grey’s Anatomy: Pretty good season so far. I don’t miss George as much as I thought I would. I guess the writers weren’t giving him that much to do in the last two season anyway, so he’s not terribly missed. Callie was amazing last night. I love her and Arizona together. Meredith’s pregnancy leave was totally handled really well and I’m glad that she’ll still be in every episode, especially considering the show is named after her.
Community: Watched the first 15 minutes of the first episode and canceled recording and haven’t looked back since. I know that’s a bit hasty, and I’m sure there are those of you who love it, but if it didn’t grab me right away, why add it to my already enormous watch list?
Parks and Recreation: So much better than last season. I’m really enjoying it.
The Office: Pretty good season so far. Much better than the slow start to last season and I thought Jim and Pam’s wedding episode was really great. Best sitcom wedding award still goes to Woody and Kelly in Cheers. I saw that episode again a few months ago and it is easily one of the best sitcom episodes ever.
30 Rock: Glad it’s back, but haven’t watched last night’s premiere yet.
Project Runway: This show can do no wrong. Even with the boring challenges (Whatever happened to making an outfit out of car parts? And blue is not a challenge!) this show never ceases to entertain. Christopher is adorable, but he’s not gonna win. I think it’ll probably be Logan, Althea or Carol Hannah. Yeah, way to narrow it down Craig.
Dollhouse: Meh. Only watched the premiere so far. Will watch the other episodes soon, but what’s the rush? It’s not that great.
Stargate Universe: Have the episodes on my DVR but haven’t watched any yet. Anyone watching? How is it?
Star Wars: Clone Wars: This season has been a lot stronger than last season. They gave up on a lot of the slapstick which was really dragging down last season. And Asoka has gotten a lot better and doesn’t make me want to poke my eyes out anymore. I also like the continuity they are building between episodes, and the new villain Cad Bane is pretty badass.
Desperate Housewives: I know, I’m still watching, but it’s still good! It always makes me laugh and this year’s mystery is good! I couldn’t believe when Susan was gonna drop the car on that kid! Crazy!
Family Guy: The premiere was one of the funniest new episodes I’ve seen in a long time. I love when Stewie and Brian go off and do their own thing, and their travels to alternate universes was pure genius. The following episodes were standard Family Guy fun.
Damn, I watch a lot of TV!

October 16th, 2009 at 8:55 am
Damn you do! I can’t believe how many shows you have time to watch! I thought for sure you were going to have the sads last night at the end of Project Runway.
October 16th, 2009 at 8:57 am
Gossip Girl: Stopped watching in favor of big bang
Heroes: Still watching, show can still surprise me and I’m still seeing lots of homoerotic undertones that probably aren’t there or will never amount to anything. Sylar is still my favorite character
Modern Family: Hit and miss, most anoying characters are husband and thin half of gay couple. He would be so much hotter with a ball-gag in his mouth.
Cougar Town: like it not love it. not feeling the 2 best friends
30 Rock: Finally put in a season pass to start watching it. Heard lots of good things about it.
Project Runway: My favorite show on TV. This season is only slightly better than Bravo’s Fashion Show which was a disaster. Lame challenges, boring contestants, low talent level but at least the judging is the usual bullshit. Christopher so should have gone home last night. Best new feature is the model-show afterwards, that I don’t watch. Still, it is the only show I watch (almost) live on TV (15 min DVR delay)
Desperate Housewives: Also still watching it, mildly amusing. The new neighbors are interesting.
October 16th, 2009 at 9:48 am
Craig, you lost me there. Some of those I know what they are, and a few I actually watch or watched, but dear lord, that’s a LOT of tv shows. Take it from someone who never does “just a little” of something – you’re addicted.
Everything in moderation, even moderation!
October 16th, 2009 at 9:58 am
I love Cougar Town. Something about Courteney Cox just rubs me right.
October 16th, 2009 at 9:59 am
Heroes: Needs to be canceled already.
Glee: Next to Modern Family and Cougar Town, my favorite new show of the season, it can do no wrong, even though it is quite over the top.
Modern Family: Favorite new show of the season, I have to disagree with you about Phil, he’s hilarious, I love the awkward way he tries to hard.
Cougar Town: Hilarious, hot guys all over the place, it’s my new Sex and the City.
Grey’s: Decent season so far.
Community: Decent, but it sorta isn’t as funny as I want it to be.
Project Runway: Another of my watch it the night it airs shows, but this season is somewhat lackluster. Shitty challenges, boring designs, shitty contestants, I see Irina going pretty far which annoys me because she’s such an annoying bitch. I can’t wait til they toss Chucky look-alike Nicolas.
Desperate: Always gonna stick with it, same with Brothers and Sisters, sorta go really well together.
Family Guy: I jumped the “it’s cool to like Family Guy” ship a few seasons ago when American Dad became so much better and in my opinion surpasses Family Guy every week. The Cleveland Show needs to be canceled also, just an unfunny mess of a show.
October 16th, 2009 at 10:12 am
What about Brothers & Sisters and Melrose Place? You’re not watching??? Melrose Place is SOOOO good in a “so bad” kind of way. It’s just like the old, except cooler. Even Ashley Simpson-Wentz is kind of interesting.
October 16th, 2009 at 10:33 am
No, don’t watch Brothers and Sisters or Melrose. Just never got into B&S and the sight of Ashley Simpson makes me sick.
October 16th, 2009 at 10:40 am
Craig,
Give Community another try. I wasn’t impressed at first, but I stuck with it and have been rewarded. I am surprised, though, how unfunny Chevy Chase is in it.
October 16th, 2009 at 10:58 am
Well, my list is shorter:
Glee: Squee. Mother/daughter bonding moment. Brilliant.
Supernatural: Dean has GOT to let it go that Sam triggered the apocalypse thing, shit happens. And yay, Sam chopped off Paris Hilton’s head with an axe this week. If only it were really so. I’m still digging Cas and am so glad he’s getting some funny scenes outside of his “serious angel” persona.
Top Chef: Boooo. Cutie Mattin from France got sent home. Everyone loved him and wore red hankies around their necks in his honour. *sniff* Okay, I guess I’ll cheer for the cute brothers Michael and … I don’t know his name. They are usually in the top 4 every week so I think they’ll go all the way and it will be a brother show-down. I’m sure the producers are scripting it that way, but whatever.
Stargate Universe: I watched the first 2 hour thing, then sort of half-watched the next hour and now I’m not even sure when it’s on. It was okay I think. I should try and follow it I suppose.
Ummmm. That’s it. I just can’t seem to be bothered following much. I wouldn’t even watch Top Chef if my daughter wasn’t addicted. I think Padma’s a bitch. I’d rather watch Chopped because Ted Allen is funnier. When the hell is Jeffrey going to get his own show? I would so watch that. We watch lots of Food Network shows but if you miss one it doesn’t matter because you’ll see it again sooner or later.
October 16th, 2009 at 11:19 am
AfterElton had an awesome Gossip Girl Facebook Recap. I love it when Nate and Chuck flirt.
Stargate Universe is good so far. You should watch it.
October 16th, 2009 at 11:26 am
Tam: I like Michael. I find Bryan to be boring.
Bradford: I’m enjoying Community as well.
Some of the other shows I am watching:
Dexter
Greek – I wish Calvin would get more time, though.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The Sarah Jane Adventures – A Doctor Who spin-off
Psych
October 16th, 2009 at 11:26 am
And I thought I watched a lot of TV. Throw in some Law and Order to replace some of the other shows (Stargate, Dollhouse) and I think we’re even.
October 16th, 2009 at 11:40 am
Ryan: I can’t really tell them apart off the top of my head. I’m still debating whether I like the blond chick Jennifer. I thought I hated her but she’s not as bad as I thought maybe. And Ashley, please, stop whining about how poor you were growing up. We get it.
October 16th, 2009 at 11:44 am
Glee: Starting to gather dust in my TiVo, I really need to make time to catch up.
Supernatural: See Glee above.
Warehouse 13: Not really loving it, but it is a show that both the Mrs and I can both watch without one of us trying to commit hari-kari.
SYTYCD: Getting really excited to see who makes the top 20, it looks like it’s going to be a great season. My current favorite is the krumper (I can never remember his name though)
Project Runway: I am over the drama, I have the Mrs call me when it gets to the runway show so I can see the results without having to sit through all the carefully crafted conflicts.
Dr. Who: When is it going to start already!!?
Torchwood: See Dr. Who above
Big Bang Theory: Love it! Although I kinda liked it better when Lenard and Penny weren’t an item. I am wondering if the writers are going to pull a Ross and Rachel and find a completely contrived reason to split them up.
Top Chef: I just can’t get into it this season. I think I am just tired of all these “reality” shows with all the forced drama and interpersonal conflict. That, and it is a form of torture to see all these great dishes being made and not get to taste them!
Stargate Universe: haven’t watched a single episode. I already have too many shows that I like but don’t have time to watch, I don’t want to fill up my TiVo with yet another one.
Hmm… I think I need to stop playing Oblivion for a week so I can catch up on my TV.
October 16th, 2009 at 11:48 am
Cupcake: I have the Sarah Jane Adventures in my NetFlix queue, but it keeps getting pushed down the list. Is it good? And what is Community anyway, I haven’t even heard of that one.
October 16th, 2009 at 12:50 pm
Glee: Um, EVERYONE is not a great singer. FINN?! Ugh. I’m so tired of him getting all the male solos with his mediocre voice. Being attractive isn’t enough!! Well…. maybe it is. But still, they need to give the other guys more singing opportunities.
And seriously, my dreams would come true if Quinn sang “Papa Don’t Preach.” I guess it’s too late for that (her pregnancy is not news anymore), but I love that song, love Quinn, and would love to see Quinn sing that.
October 16th, 2009 at 12:55 pm
I kept expecting the list of shows to end, but it just kept going and going! You DO watch a lot of TV.
You should checkout Burn Notice. It isn’t on now, but will be back in a few months I think. It is one of the few shows that I watch, so it must be good.
. I am sure John will back me up on this.
October 16th, 2009 at 1:02 pm
I’m trying to catch up on Supernatural since everyone keeps talking about it, but I’m still in season two.
Nico: I enjoy The Sarah Jane Adventures. Unlike a lot of kids shows in America, the kids act rather than hamming it up. It also is less dark than Doctor Who.
October 16th, 2009 at 1:03 pm
Chris: I second your recommendation of Burn Notice.
October 16th, 2009 at 1:26 pm
I am loving the Office and Parks and Recreation too!
October 16th, 2009 at 1:38 pm
Chris D.: I’ve totally got your back (and will take a good look while I am back there) on Burn Notice. I love that show and can’t wait until it is back.
I’m watching: Big Bang Theory (LOVE it!), Project Runway and the Fox Sunday night lineup (but that is mostly habit), Glee (which is totally over the top, but that is half the fun), Burn Notice when it is on and Doctor Who (M. Nico: for REALZ! When is that show coming back?!?). The wife enjoys SYTYCD and I usually watch it with her in anticipation of Glee. There is one young white guy who is pretty amazing and apparently, he made one of the judges orgasm during his solo.
I occasionally catch an episode of House M.D. and Bones, both of which are pretty good, but I’m not committed to them.
October 16th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
M. Nico: Some google-fu reveals that “The Waters of Mars”, the next Doctor Who special will air in November, possibly November 14th.
October 16th, 2009 at 1:57 pm
I’m impressed that you are able to keep up with so many current shows! I still need to catch up on Heroes and Supernatural. Waiting for new episodes of LOST, L& O criminal intent and 24.
The ones I’m watching now include:
Monk: completely awesome and awful because this is the last season. Ending way too soon.
NCIS: just started watching reruns – really enjoying it so far. All the characters very likable.
Pushing Daisies season 2. fabulous like the first season
and finally
football, football, football! Giants are my absolute favorite but I’m also following Jets, Colts, Bears and Vikings. When the season is over, I’ll be able to catch up on other stuff
October 16th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
John: I thought that was so funny when that dancer made Adam Shankman goo himself with his solo, I couldn’t stop laughing! The kid is a great dancer, but is lacking in the “star factor” category for me.
I have heard great things about Burn Notice, but again I already have more shows than I can watch queued up. I will ‘proly wait until the show ends so I can marathon watch it on DVD. I love Bones too, but it is one of those shows where I can catch an episode here and there and not feel committed to watching the entire season.
October 16th, 2009 at 2:28 pm
I also watch a fair number of random crime shows. We have the Mystery channel which has NCIS, Bones, a bunch of L&O, CSI, Numb3rs, and that other one with Shemar Moore. So I watch them completely at random with no idea what season it is or what the overarching story arc is. But that works for me.
I did watch the Donald Stachy movie on Mystery the other night although my friends say the books are better. They didn’t even edit the language which was pretty harsh. Us liberal Canadians.
October 16th, 2009 at 2:41 pm
For you Dr. Who fans, I came across this quiz on BBC to do with the Runaway Bride. I’m not sure how difficult it is since I got 6 out 10 correct and I had no clue about the show or the plot. There’s a bunch of them there.
Dr. Who Quizzes
October 16th, 2009 at 3:12 pm
M.Nico: I laughed too! Shankman’s reaction was so over the top. He totally needed to change his shorts when he was done. The kid can dance and has some amazing flexibility, but he looks like a little boy.
October 16th, 2009 at 3:30 pm
I never watch TV. I tink Family Guy is stupid and I don’t know why everyone tinkz it’s sooooo funny.
For mah trabajo en Nueva Nueva, my boss had me try and hunt down contact info for the producer of Cougar Town! It took me seriously two hours to get a phone number & email…but I DID! I was so proudercopterz!
October 16th, 2009 at 4:00 pm
Puck gets his own song next week! I do however, wish that Kurt would get one. Just because he got all “Single Ladies” on our asses, doesn’t mean I don’t want him to sing!
October 16th, 2009 at 5:26 pm
I watch Glee and Vampire Diaries, two of the best new shows this season. Otherwise I have a lot of DVD’s to catch up with.
October 16th, 2009 at 6:04 pm
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thinks Kurt and Puck will get it on. My friends all look at me like I’ve gone off the deep end (again) when I bring it up.
October 16th, 2009 at 7:32 pm
Heroes – still watching, but ready to give up.
90210 – so much better this season. I agree with you on Teddy (and everything else).
ANTM – agree! I want to put Sundae in my pocket.
Glee – Love it. Don’t get the appeal of Finn. What a lug. He looks like a cross between Ben Affleck and Marky Mark. Yuck. Some of the singers voices give me goosebumps, but his doesn’t.
Survivor – I’ve watched a couple episodes, but keep forgetting to record it. From what I’ve seen I like Jaison.
Project Runway – Haven’t been impressed with the challenges or designers. I muss the days of Jay/Santino/Wendy Pepper. But I adore Tim Gunn. And I watch the model after show. If you aren’t watching it, you’re not missing much – I mean anything.
Dollhouse – have been recording it, but haven’t watched yet. Watching this show just makes me miss Buffy.
Family Guy – I usually get at least 2 good laughs out of it. Love Stewie. Too bad he didn’t get the spin off.
Top Chef – I like Jen, but am pulling for Kevin. Has there ever been an episode where someone DOESN’T cook a scallop?
House M.D. – LOVE this show.
Vampire Diaries – jury’s still out.
The Hills/The City – There’s something wrong with me.
And Craig – you do watch too much tv. Just another reason why I love you so.
October 16th, 2009 at 7:34 pm
JT: If Glee were real life or a different type of show, I could see Puck experimenting. I just don’t see them adding that level of complexity to a second string character who still has the father of Quinn’s baby thing to deal with.
And that’s why they invented slash.
October 16th, 2009 at 7:46 pm
Puck is to busy sleeping with all the cougars in the neighborhood.
Michelle: My daughter and I were just having that scallop discussion this week. Same thing, we said enough with the freaking scallops. What’s wrong with a chicken leg?
October 17th, 2009 at 10:22 pm
I was reading through that list, and all I could think of was how in the hell you find the time to watch all that. I can barely keep up with Glee and CSI.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:43 am
I have only seen the BBC version of The Office. I’m afraid to watch the American version because it could only be a disappointment. Plus Mackenzie Crook is the Sexiest Man Alive!!! What can I say, I likes em skinny!
October 20th, 2009 at 10:44 am
Craig, if you spent the amount of time watching tv and applied it to solving world peace and world hunger not only would the problems be solved but you would probably still have time to watch Glee
October 22nd, 2009 at 10:14 pm
For all the Purt fans:
AE: There was an episode earlier where Kurt made it clear that he’s crushing on Finn, and Finn was really nonchalant about it. How would he react is Kurt was crushing on him?
MS: [laughs] Well, that has not come up yet other than in the fantasy world of YouTube, but I think Puck has become more accepting of the glee club and the people in it so, I don’t know, maybe he’d just turn the lights off and be like, “Okay.” Or maybe he’d just throw him in the dumpster again.
After Elton interviews Mark Salling (Puck)
October 25th, 2009 at 1:41 pm
I watched two and a half seasons of Supernatural in the past week or so. Soon, I will be completely caught up, and Tam will be able to talk about the show without worrying of spoiling things for me.
