This time from Michelle M, otherwise known as she who needs a blog!
It’s a dancing monkey! Just like my faithful readers! Isn’t that the most amazing thing you’ve seen in your entire life? I’ve been singing that song ever since, as well as doing the hot head swirly dance thing.

Craig’s monkey spanks itself.
November 12th, 2009 at 12:30 am
And the song… ah memories.
November 12th, 2009 at 12:30 am
Oh yeah that’s the other thing. I don’t get birthday gifts. It’s because people either a) have no idea what to get me, or b) know that my hobbies aren’t cheap.

I am too jelous for words, Michelle M. you ROCK!
Cupcake:First comment, check. Sexual Innuendo, check. I am so proud of you *sniff*
November 12th, 2009 at 3:15 am
Birthday greetings from across the pond! That monkey is too cute! :0)
November 12th, 2009 at 7:26 am
That’s perfect. I love how his head kind of moves around in a circle. Michelle rocks.
November 12th, 2009 at 7:56 am
Keep practining the song and dance for the next karaoke outing.

Craig: regarding your tweet (Dear iPhone, I will never type the word “fir”. Can you please learn to auto correct it to “for”? Thanks! Love, Craig )
What if you end up involved with someone named Douglas? Won’t you just die if you can’t send him texts making arbor-themed punny references to his anatomy?
November 12th, 2009 at 9:17 am
This is very true. I have a weakness for botany puns!
November 12th, 2009 at 9:25 am
On a related note, the hardest class I ever took in college was Botany. Okay, maybe tied with Calculus or Physics, but Botany was downright torturous!
November 12th, 2009 at 9:40 am
Did your botany class have a lab? That might make it a lot more fun.
November 12th, 2009 at 9:58 am
TwoPi: Disecting plants?
November 12th, 2009 at 10:02 am
Tam: It’s Thursday.
I never took botany. The closest I got was a introductory biology class where we raised fast plants.
November 12th, 2009 at 10:05 am
There was a lab, but 90% of the time was spent looking in microscopes examining/drawing/differentiating cells. It was awful.
November 12th, 2009 at 10:08 am
Craig: You should have taken neurobiology. Brains are much more fun to dissect.
November 12th, 2009 at 10:51 am
Ryan: Thanks. I sent the link to my home e-mail so when I get home I can check it out or maybe later today. The panic is on here. You’d think I was away 3 weeks rather than 3 days.
November 12th, 2009 at 11:10 am
Michelle only you could find an actual dancing monkey! I have to admit I was a little concerned when I saw the title of the video as “Love Machine Monkey” and wondered if it was safe for work. Then I was a little disappointed that it was.
November 12th, 2009 at 11:16 am
Also, I took this video with my iphone. I think it’s hysterical that it came out in tallscreen. Guess I should have turned the phone over.
November 12th, 2009 at 11:34 am
In my day, gum…gum…Monkeys only played the cymbals.

And Polt!!! I’m ashamed of you! Next thing you know Tam will be Twittering.
November 12th, 2009 at 11:36 am
FINALLY the blocker let me on! I too remember this song, had it on a K-Tel album of ‘hits’.
And Craiggers, if you’re singing the song, and practicing the dance, I think a video posted here of said actions is warranted!
HUGS…
November 12th, 2009 at 11:38 am
Well Tam, I tell you what happened…work blocked Facebook (I KNOW!), so since i could no longer stay in nearly constant contact with the Puntabugang, I felt I HAD to join Twitter so I could.
But I’ve not got it on my phone yet, only on the computer. I’m not THAT technologically with it, ya know?
HUGS…
November 12th, 2009 at 11:44 am
Polt: Damn you! Now I am officially the last person on earth who doesn’t Twitter. *sigh* I guess I will eventually have to break down and get a mobile device that supports twitter so I can join the party.
November 12th, 2009 at 11:46 am
Oh, and I second the motion that Craig needs to post a video of the Monkey Dance
November 12th, 2009 at 11:47 am
Mark/Nico: Michelle and I are resisting Twitter with all the strength we have. I can still access Facebook and I’m not joining Farmville either so back off people.
November 12th, 2009 at 11:50 am
Craig: I never took Botany, but I would say the hardest class I took was freshman Chemistry. This was not because the material was difficult, but the teacher was so BORING that I fell asleep five minutes into every lecture. I actually think he did it on purpose.
November 12th, 2009 at 12:03 pm
Good for you Tam! And if you’re ever tempted by Farmville, just remember, you can actually “buy” a farm and raise “real” animals. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s true.
November 12th, 2009 at 12:54 pm
Mark: But on Farnville you don’t have to deal with the sight or smell or ‘real’ animal poop…and that makes ALL the difference!
HUGS…
November 12th, 2009 at 12:55 pm
Tam: I posted a link on Facebook last week about how a lot of Facebook games make money by enticing people to sign up for scams.
M. Nico: General Chemistry was one of the easiest classes I ever took. I had already taken most of a physics major at the time, so I could derive a lot of the equations by that time. The hardest class was probably Organic Chemistry. It had way too many reactions that I didn’t care memorizing because I had (and still have) no plans to synthesize anything, ever.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:01 pm
Polt: Dealing with real animal poop has made it a lot easier to deal with unpleasant situations now. However, I am thankful that I was too young to remember falling into the barn’s gutter.
Tam: I started Among the Living last night. I’m really enjoying it. Thanks for the recommendation.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:08 pm
Polt: Actually the smell of horse poop reminds me of when I was a kid and we went to the State Fair. My Dad always wanted to go through the livestock area. Even now the smell of straw and horse poop brings back warm memories.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:18 pm
Mark: I smell cow and horse poop on the way to work sometimes when it’s warm and I have the windows down. Yes, yet another reason why it’s ‘awesome’ to live in rural areas.
HUGS…
November 12th, 2009 at 1:21 pm
Luv You Polt!
Oh yeah, you too Craig. Or @Craig, or whatever you guys say on tw*tter.
November 12th, 2009 at 1:22 pm
Nor’ easter Goodnight!
November 12th, 2009 at 2:21 pm
Ryan: It’s a great series. She’s one of my fave writers and this week I won the hardcopy of her first 5 shorts in the Chanelling Morpheus series. I’m so excited.
I’ve read them but the fan girl in me squees at knowing I’m getting an autographed copy.
I read that thing you posted. My daughter almost got caught but she read the fine print in time. I just hate that in Facebook you get sucked in and you can never get out. I did the stupid Mafia Wars and I haven’t played for months (I must be a billionaire by now) but you can’t delete the game so I keep getting these stupid updates. Sure I click ignore but I want to be OUT people.
Mark/Polt: My daughter rides horses so I get a good dose of horse smell every week. I kind of like it. LOL Not as much as she does. I grew up on a farm so I’ve spent 18 years around animals and while I love them dearly I don’t have any desire to do it on a full-time basis. And the trials of Mel’s chicken coop tell me why. That thing has got to be nicer than my house already.
(If Mel is reading.)
November 12th, 2009 at 2:43 pm
Tam: “Disecting plants?” LOL. I just figured a botany lab class would be like gardening, but with a midterm and a final. I shoulda known better.
Of course, I’d fail miserably. I’ve managed to kill cactus in my office (I figured that was safe, since I remember to water only about once a month).
November 12th, 2009 at 2:43 pm
Tam: My dad worked on my grandpa’s farm until my brother was born. At that time, he decided to go to college and got his accounting degree. Now, on cold wet mornings, he is glad that he doesn’t have to wake up early and go spend all day outside.
November 12th, 2009 at 5:03 pm
Ex-Farmers and Equestrians: We don’t own a farm, but most of our neighbors have cows, goats, or chickens so we get that “down on the farm” scent without the work
November 12th, 2009 at 11:46 pm
That is hilarious! Sadly perhaps, I have a friend who would say that is exactly how I dance, ( the arm pumping motions, perhaps more than head orbiting).
Rumor has it that the next Puntabumeetup will involve dancing! We will have to choreograph the “Monkey Dance” in advance. Craig can be in the center and we can all circle around him.
November 13th, 2009 at 12:10 am
So cute!
Michelle is cooler/nicer/more amazing than 100% of the people I know.
November 13th, 2009 at 10:09 am
Bossy doesn’t do presents, but she loves you just the same. OK?
