Got a little behind on commenting as of late (don’t ever let anyone tell you procrastination isn’t a true art form.) Anyway, here’s my thoughts on the list.
1) I sorta feel this way when I give people gifts. I sorta spend alot of time crafting an idea of what people would like, balance it along my tastes in said item, and run from there. The expression is the “money shot” for me, that look that can range from bliss to “what the fuck” is just priceless.
2) Being a writer with a far too vivid imagination and a constant stream of dreams where I live a second life, once I finish with a character, I usually put them as far out of my mind as possible.
3) I’m up by 6 everyday from my internal alarm clock.
4) I wish I could do what I want to do, roadblocks are usually abound though so it makes it just a tad bit harder sometimes.
5) For me, it’s sitting in the sun and just feeling the heat, be it on grass, pavement, wood … wait, did I just say I enjoy sitting on wood … hmm.
6) Causing problems, yeah, I’m usually that guy.
7) True, but the anticipation is killer and if the premiere episode is shit, the letdown is much more immense.
9) Just recently I started noticing people who didn’t appreciate things before finally wise up and get on the proper track. It truly is an amazing thing to share with people you care about who in turn appreciate, this is probably the best one on your list.
10) I get stuck doing that alot, mainly because all my really close friends (aside from 4) live outside of Chicago and we usually only see each other once a year, it sometimes gets hard maintaining the “call all these people at least once every 2-3 weeks” challenge that I put upon myself, but even if we get sidetracked, when we pick it back up, it’s truly a wonderful feeling.
Yes, Dr. Para, you DID say you enjoy sitting on wood, but that’s hardly surprising since you also used the term “money shot”.
For me, #1 and #9 are almost the same thing. In fact I’m curious how Craig would distinguish them. For me, that’s what friendship is *all* about. I mean, obviously friendship is also about helping one another out in bad times, listening to one another, and stuff. But for me the main joy of friendship is sharing with a friend something you enjoy, and if they enjoy it too, it makes your own enjoyment so much more fulfilling.
hearing an old song that reminds you of someone or something and makes you smile.
Dave- vegetable broth make a bland onion soup; try miso- it’s got flavour and is parve.
I know, I know…I’m late…..but Living in europe and walking by a Subway (the american brand) sandwich shop…….the smell…..has become my favorite thing in the entire world. It smells like home.
