A Walk in the Park

Today me and my parents went for a walk through the Bayard Cutting Arboretum which is just a few minutes from our house. It was so nice to be outside enjoying the fresh air and soaking in sunlight on the first nice day we’ve had in a while. Here are some pictures:

I can’t believe my parents actually agreed to do that tree hugging picture. I’d call them dorks, but it was my idea. Such a fun, relaxing day!

I was gonna make a comment about how awesome it would be to hug your wood, and then the next photo shows your parents doing it, which just made the whole joke icky and inappropriate, so I decided not to do it in the end.

I love that building with the Tudor architecture! And that looks like a fun place to go for a walk, even if you must wear earmuffs while doing it.

I love posts with your parents, they’re so cute. Even when hugging the wood together. (sorry, i just couldn’t help myself)

    HUGS…

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

    Yay! I’m quoting poetry!

And where are your gloves? The sun may be out, but it’s still really cold.

That was an amazing tree. Loos like a gorgeous day. I’m thinking we should get our butts downtown to see the ice sculptures here tomorrow since it’s the last weekend of our winter festival. And we can have a beaver tail. Yum. Cinnamon sugar is my fave. I love that first pic of your parents

Family holiday! CUTE! When I meet up wiff my family, we don’t go for walks [feat. tree huggerz]. Instead, we just get dangerously angry over rousing games of “Scene-It!” I always win…except when I lose, which never happens!

    What a bunch of hippies.

I love the picture of your parents, they are so cute. Sometimes, I think you look like your Mom, but in other shots you look like your Dad. I like the pic of you and your Dad too.

Oh, and why aren’t you wearing argyle?

It was in the mid-40′s at home this afternoon, so David wanted to go for a walk before I had to get ready for work. We live on a 2 mile loop, and I love walking around our little neighborhood.

Your parents are adorable! I’m really missing decent weather around here, I’ve got the Winter blah’s…

  8. Justin on February 21, 2010 at 11:30 am

Great pix!!!! What a lovely place! What a nice family outing!! :D

Jere — was it really that cold down in New York State yesterday? It was in the mid-40s here in Boston and I wasn’t wearing gloves.

Polt — what a Puntabuperv you are!!! (aka *cough* I was going to make the same joke *cough*)

My friend-with-the-little-crush-on-Craig is going to enjoy that top pic. :-)

  9. Enrico on February 21, 2010 at 1:05 pm

Justin: The top pic? Where he looks like a serial killer? Fun!

  10. The Ryan with the Cupcake on February 21, 2010 at 2:29 pm

Enrico: Perhaps he likes to stalk a stalker.

  11. Justin on February 21, 2010 at 3:19 pm

Hahaha Enrico you sure do know how to flatter a guy :-) *I* think Craig looks cute when he smiles; not like a serial killer. :P Not saying that Craig CAN’T look like a serial killer when he has a mind to. ;-)

And, for the record, my firend’s comment was: “Yum!” (And I think he’d be mortified if he knew I was reporting his comments ….)

  12. Craig on February 21, 2010 at 3:51 pm

Who is this friend and why am I not married to him yet?

  13. Justin on February 21, 2010 at 4:02 pm

Email me and I’ll tell you. :P

  14. Michelle M. on February 21, 2010 at 4:23 pm

How can you not love the McAnally family?? And geez, who doesn’t have a little crush on Craig?

  15. Craig on February 21, 2010 at 4:28 pm

Very few people. Even lesbians and straight guys find me irresistible. A few people with severe mental issues maybe, but that’s about it.

  16. Adam on February 21, 2010 at 5:22 pm

How is this alright?!!! Mom freaks out whenever someone mentions seeing a picture of her on Facebook and yet she continues to be fodder for all of the puntabu-crazies… She has been on Puntabulous more than Britney Spears or that cardboard cutout wife of yours!!! Just proves that mom really does love you best and she would do anything for her little Craiggers.

  17. Justin on February 21, 2010 at 5:35 pm

    “cardboard cutout wife”?

Yet another reason why I am finding it increasingly hard to refrain from friending Craig’s brother on facebook to ask him for embarrassing childhood details …. :P

  18. Polt on February 21, 2010 at 8:31 pm

justin:the cardboard cut out is “Natalie Portman, Your Wife”. Search the archives, you’ll find plenty of mentions of her…although I’ve become worried about her after having not seen her in forever.

Adam: I’m sorry, dude, I’ve never met you, but how could Craiggers NOT be mommy’s favorite? I mean, I’m sure you’re an awesome guy in your own right (you’ve produced the adorable nieces, if I’m correct, so that shows your awesomeness right there), but you’re no Craiggers. :)

Craiggers: You’re not married to this guy yet cause as you stalker, it would be duty to, once you’re engaged, hunt him down with bounty hunters, psychics and bloodhounds, throw his pet rabbit/cat/guinea pig/what have you in a pot of boiling water and then make sure he disappeared from your life by any means necessary.

and yeah, aren’t those fans with mental issues just a big bother sometimes? :)

    HUGS….

  19. Justin on February 21, 2010 at 8:45 pm

Meh. Polt, he only has a dog. And the dog’s like the size of a tractor. Good luck finding a pot big enough :P

The Arboretum is really one of the best kept secrets on Long Island. Did you guys have lunch at the little cafe they have there? I had a “job” there raking leaves one fall, can you imagine the amout of work that is. The tree hugging pics are worthy of being framed and displayed proudly. :-)

  21. Jacob on February 22, 2010 at 7:38 am

    I L-O-V-E those pictures, Craig!

Now, did you buy that tv or what?! :-P

  22. Craig on February 22, 2010 at 7:47 am

Paul: No, the mansion was closed so we just had to stick to the grounds.

Jacob: LOL, no, I didn’t get it. Gotta be a good boy and save my money!

  23. David on February 22, 2010 at 12:56 pm

It’s so cool that your skin tone matches the snow.

Thank heavens summer will be hear soon enough.

  24. Craig on February 22, 2010 at 12:59 pm

People who make simple grammar mistakes can’t make fun of me. It’s, like, a rule or something.

  25. David on February 22, 2010 at 3:16 pm

    Oops. That was embarrassing.

    But your (haha) still pale.

  26. Justin on February 22, 2010 at 5:09 pm

    You should have said:

    “your still pail”

You’ve been doing this mis-spelling thing a lot lately, da-VEED. First on your blog/FB and now here.

And — what’s with the paleness comments? Do you visit tanning salons regularly during the winter or something? (It’s a genuine question — I’m curious :-) )

  27. Chris D. on February 22, 2010 at 8:08 pm

Great photos, thanks for sharing them. It looks like you may have have the same kind of coat as Enrico. I like that mansion, that style would be my second or third choice for my mansion. This ( http://www.loseley-park.com/corporategallery/loseleyhouse.jpg ) one might be my first choice.

David: Pale guys are cute. ;) They are also less likely to look like wrinkly scrotum faces when they get older as well. ;)

  28. Justin on February 22, 2010 at 8:49 pm

Chris: when you get your mansion, can I have a wing, please? kthx ;-)

And “wrinkly scrotum faces”. Nice one. I’m very amused :D
