Appa Makes Everything Better
On this crappy monday morning where the weekend went too fast, the office building refuses to turn on the air conditioning, and you generally want to shoot yourself in the face, I present a new image from the upcoming Last Airbender movie which clearly shows a wonderfully realized Appa (click to enlarge):

Some of my favorite moments from the first season of Avatar were when the trio of heroes were riding on Appa. From the awesome action sequence of them trying to break through a Fire Nation blockade (one of the best traditionally animated action sequences I’ve ever seen) to the soothing endings of a tiny Appa flying against the sunset, this six-legged flying sky bison makes everything better.

I have to admit, that is a pretty sweet image! I can’t wait for next week!

Do you know if there is a Momo?

Appa does compensate for Monday.

Ooookay. Lovely drawing. Looks like something from Where the Wild Things Are. I’m clueless so I’ll go have lunch now.
Stay cool, or try.

Squeee! I am getting excited about this movie, despite my better judgment; the last three M. Night Shamalamadingdong movies I watched were sub-par.
GoKitty: there had better be a Momo!

I wasn’t really planning on seeing this, but the more I see of it, the more I think i will. I’ll probably enjoy it, as I have no expectations going into it at all.
And I hope your day has improved.
HUGS…

I don’t know. I haven’t even seen Avatar yet.
Mondays suck.

I’ve never seen avatar…. But it looks cool. And who doesn’t love flying six-legged buffalo?

@GoKitty – yes, Momo is in the movie. The same person is doing the voice work for both characters. Cam & I are seeing this June 30 at midnight (If they do that) even though we both have to work the next day. This is the only film this summer I’m truly excited for.

I have to admit I’m very psyched for this movie even though I know *NOTHING* whatsoever of the Airbender stuff apart from what I’ve read in the comment threads in this blog. The special effects do look awesome, and I think I’ll find a way to get over the irritating fact that the protagonist is like 8 years old or something tiresome.
I’ve been reading back-postings of your blog, btw, Howard. Hilarious. The prostatitis post and the exploding-condoms-all-over-the-lesbians post are my favorites so far.
