Naturally I’m stoked about having a Britney Spears episode of Glee, and it’s made all the better by centering around Brittany. I thought the Madonna episode was fantastic, though the story did strain a little too hard in order to use the Madonna songs they wanted. I think we can all agree that the episodes work better when they pick songs based on the story instead of the other way around. But as long as they stick to only one or two theme episodes a season I think it’s fun.
I’m looking forward to next season. Brit looks pretty damn good there I have to say. The look on Glee Britt’s face is so “Oh yeah, I’m gonna do her”. LOL
I used to hate Britney. Everything about her, all the hype, the slutty persona, everything.
I came around. She makes fun music. I couldn’t hate her for long. Britney on Glee should be a *LOT* of fun
The thing I like about her the most is that she seems to have a sense of humor about herself. I think that is important for anyone with her level of fame. I won’t go so far as to say I like her, but I do like some of her songs.
Yeah, John, I agree — that was the turning point for me about her actually. Maybe when she played a Fembot on the 2nd Austin Powers movie and her head blew up and Mike Myers said “oops, I did it again”
Obviously I’m excited she’s on TV again, and on a show I like. But I am a little apprehensive. Brit fans will love just seeing her, but as someone who watches the show, I share the sentiment with Craig about plot and music flowing together. What plot device leads Brittany to be in a competition feat. her against the beat, she wants to get in the zone???
AND “Me Against the Music” IS MY LEAST FAVORITE BRITNEY SINGLE!!!! UGH. Rachel better do a sexy dance to “Gimme More” to seduce Puck, and Kurt should sing “Dear Diary” about Finn. And Emma can sing “Toxic” about Schu still being a whore! SO MUCH GOOD BRITNEY MUSIC!! YAY!!!!

I too am looking forward to this episode (actually the entire season). I was thrilled to learn that Carol Burnett will also be joining the cast.
So now the fateful question… do you think anyone will flash their Britney on the so named show?
