I met with the co-op board on Thursday and on Monday I heard that I’ve been approved. The approval has been sent to my lawyer and he just needs to coordinate a closing date with the seller’s lawyer. Hopefully it’s in the next week or so since my parents are going on vacation at the end of April and I won’t be able to do much if they’re not around to help. Almost there!

Fairwell, No Ordinary Family

So the season finale of No Ordinary Family was on last night. Technically it’s not cancelled yet, but with the actors already signing up for new shows for next Fall, a renewal of the freshman show No Ordinary Family isn’t looking too good. Here’s an interesting article from Entertainment Weekly about how it went wrong, which I think hits the nail right on the head.

It started off well enough, and for about the first half of the season it was my favorite new show of the year (I believe that honor [and oh what an honor it is!] has now been given to Hawaii Five-0), but as the series continued, and more people with increasingly lame superpowers showed up, and the mysteriously intriguing ongoing storyline revealed itself to be quite ho hum, the quality of the show faded.

It still had the moments of brilliance that is displayed in the first half of the season (mostly doing with sidekicks Katie and George) but without a good storyline keeping us interested week to week, there was really no reason to stay invested in the show. I’m still sad it’s probably getting cancelled though. It was a really cute and fun show before someone decided to insert a half-hearted conspiracy into the mix. If they had been able to blend the comedy plots with the serious (and more interesting) storyline it may have faired a bit better.

Anyone else watch this show till the bitter end as I did?

It’s taking a bit longer than anticipated to get the new website off the ground. In the meantime, I wanted to give you a look inside the life of the offices at Puntabucock headquarters with Adam as Editor in Chief:

Someone save us! Well, me at least. Maybe we can use Mikey as a human shield on our path to freedom.
